Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
This recipe is so good and I didn't feel guilty one little bit while eating it. I usually double the recipe (everything but the sausage) because the leftovers are even better.

Hot Bacon Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
This is very similar to a recipe I make. My only changes are that I use 12 slices of bacon (cook until crispy)and chop up an entire small onion. I've also substituted the Monteray Jack with Cheddar when I don't have any on hand...not a big deal. This is a dish that people hover around b/c they can't stop eating it...soo yummy!!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
I made this last night for a pumpkin carving party...and everybody loved it! I loved that it was soo simple to make and had only a small mess to clean up later. I wasn't sure how much 5 quarts was supposed to be, so I guessed and used three bags of lite microwave popcorn. It was the perfect amount. I also wanted my popcorn to be a little chewier and so I took it out 15 minutes sooner, but it still ended up being crunchy.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
I wasn't crazy about this recipe at all... the white wine was overwhelming and the meat ended up dry despite cooking 1/2 an hour less than the recipe called for.

Roasted Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
After being so anxious to try this recipe, I was highly disappointed with the outcome. The only change I made was to add sour cream as others had suggested. It definitely needs a little more kick. More sour cream?? ** After chilling the salad for about 5 hours, I took it out of the fridge and found that it was really dry. I ended up making another batch of the mayo/sour cream mix to add some moisture.

Carol's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
This recipe was fabulous! Instead of the water chestnuts, I toasted almond pieces, which added a distinct flavor to it. Halved red/purple grapes are a must. PS - I don't know if it's because I'm an inexperienced cook, but this recipe did take me longer than the 20 minutes it said.

My husband, who likes everything I make, was not able to finish eating this meal. I will probably never make it again.

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
My husband and I made this to take over to my family for our first Christmas breakfast. We got good reviews but no one raved about it. When we were making it, the 9x13 baking dish was too small so we used an 11x15 and added 2 extra eggs and some more ham. We also sprinkled extra cheese on the top which made it look very pretty. We will definately make this again b/c you can't beat the easy factor :)

Crab Salad III

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2005
This was the first recipe that my fiance and I cooked together and I'm glad I chose this one. All the different flavors combined are so yummy! I made a few changes as well. I used orange peppers instead of radishes, used halved grape tomatoes instead of a chopped up whole one (big difference I think), didn't use the lemon juice, used Campanelle pasta, used dill seed instead of weed, and added a couple extra plops of mayo. Oh - and used green onions instead of the sweet ones. I'm sure I'll be using this recipe for years to come. Happy eating!
