Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
I've made this soup at least half a dozen times and have passed the recipe along to my friends. There just isn't any other soup like it and the dill makes it special. I use lowfat milk and skip the sour cream because it is just as delicious without it. It is also key to use fresh parsely. The parsely gives it a fresh flavor.

Chicken Tava from Turkey

I used pepper paste as another person suggested, plus added the turkish spice, pul biber (crushed red pepper) and some cumin. My Turkish husband loved it!

Middle Eastern Rice with Black Beans and Chickpeas

The flavor was fantastic! I made a spinach salad for a side. Also yogurt to calm my palette from the cayenne. Delicious and nutritious!

Warm Greek Pita Sandwiches With Turkey and Cucumber-Yogurt Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I make this using ground turkey and season it up with oregano, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. The yogurt sauce is perfect! Very easy and satisfying and only use one pan to cook it in ;)

Indian Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
I made this without the bay leaf, and used fresh tomaotoes and dried ginger because it was what I had on hand. I also used cayenne pepper instead of pabrika. I think this is what made this dish fantastic because it was so hot and spicy! It tasted better than what you get in an Indian restaurant.

Portobello Pizza

Reviewed: May 17, 2007
I'm rating this 5 stars because I changed the recipe. I used wheat pitas as the crust, sauteed the portabello mushrooms, tomatoes and basil, added some Classico Spicy red pepper sauce and mozzarella cheese with some extra oregano, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. These rocked!

Oatmeal Pancake

These were great and more flavorful than ordinary pancakes. I used two eggs instead of 4 egg whites because I hate waste and don't have a cholestrol problem. I added some semi sweet chocolate chips to make them sweeter and tastier (Yes, you can chocolate in Phase!). What a treat for breakfast!

These were great. I left out the potatoes, added tons of cilantro and extra chili powder. I make this all the time.

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
This came out really good for me since I seasoned it more than the recipe asked. I added red pepper flakes to kick up the flavor and used Turkish Sheep cheese instead (looks like feta, but much more creamy taste). I didn't understand the chicken broth/flour mixture. It made my dish too watery. Next time, I will use less. Red pepper flakes is the key folks! I also sprinkled the oregano all over the chicken breast.
