Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2005
Made this last night for dinner guests and everybody loved it. I used 8 lemons to come up with the 1 1/2 cups of juice, but I ended up adding a little more water than what was called for. Was very refreshing and went perfect with our meal of BBQ chicken and twice baked potatoes. Thanks for the great recipe!

Made this chicken for dinner guests last night and everybody liked it. Was a cinch to make and tasted better than the usual bottled BBQ. Will be making it again, thanks for the great recipe!

Berry Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2005
I made this for dinner guests last night and I thought it turned out great. Everybody was pretty full from dinner so we didn't indulge too much but I got lots of compliments for it. I left out the liquer because I didn't have any, and I used lemon pudding because I was out of Vanilla. I really like the lemon flavor though. I even ate some of the leftovers for breakfast this morning (real nutrious, I know) and it was delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Breaded Hamburgers

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
These really turned out great! We ate them on hamburgers buns but I think next time we'll opt to eat them solo, maybe with mashed potatoes on the side. Be careful how much water you put in the bottom of your casserole dish, once the burgers start cooking, the juices from the burgers mix with the water, and the level raises a bit. Really a great recipe, and will be making again!

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
These brownies were a bit dry by the time I had it all mixed together, I ended up adding a small amount of water and a tiny bit more oil. I think the fault was mine though, may not have added enough zucchini to the mix. The end result tasted great though! Really good brownies and a great way to use up some of that zucchini from the garden. Will be making these brownies again, thanks for the recipe!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2005
I thought this recipe was delicious! My husband seemed to like it as well, he didn't say much while eating, but he ate 4 tacos! I used red onion instead of the green onions and it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe, I'll be making this again.

Quick and Easy Home Fries

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2005
These turned out pretty good, I added a little chili powder along with lots of salt and pepper. I think next time I'll cook them a little longer, I like them a bit crispier. Thanks for the recipe.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2005
This Chicken was great. I had a hard time getting the bread crumb mixture to stick to the chicken, so I ended up just putting all the leftover mixture on top of the chicken in the dish. Really turned out good. Everybody said they liked it and my husband wants me to make it again. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Baked Ziti I

Delicious. This recipe is great. I made it meatless because we had my family over for dinner and my sister is vegetarian. Everybody loved it. I will be making this again for sure, next time with some meat! Thanks for the delicious recipe.

Specials

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2005
These burgers were good. My husband and I both enjoyed them and will probably try them again. I added a little chili powder to the meat mix, just to add a little spice. Next try I may add some red pepper flakes. Thanks for the recipe.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
We thought these were great. I used purple onion, because that was all I had, but I think next time I might scale back a bit on the onion. The first one I cooked, as the guinea pig, was a bit too mushy in the middle, although it was golden brown on the outside. So I turned the heat down just a bit and let the rest of them cook a little bit longer than is stated in the recipe. My husband even liked these, and he's not a bit zucchini fan. Thanks for the great recipe, we'll be making these again.

Totally Tangy Baked French Fries

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2005
My husband and I really liked these. I put in a whole tsp of the red pepper flakes and almost 2 tsp of chili powder. I didn't have any brown spicy mustard so I just added 1 T of regular yellow mustard. They turned out really yummy, and spicy. We dipped ours in ranch dressing and they were great. Thanks for the recipe.

Ground Beef for Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
This beef was pretty good but there was something not quite right about it. I think it was that the seasoning mix was just a bit too salty for our tastes. I added some extra chili powder to give it a little bit more of a kick. I will probably make this again, but I think next time I might cut back a bit on the mix, add a bit more chili powder and maybe add a little salsa. Thanks for the recipe.

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2005
This bread baked up nicely and was yummy spread with butter when it was hot and fresh out of the oven. The flavor of the bread didn't really wow me though. I may add a little more cinnamon next time. Thanks for the recipe.

Grilled Pizza Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2005
I fixed these awhile back when my husband and I were both starving after work, TOO hungry to wait TOO long for anything to cook. We really liked these. They're a great alternative to regular quesadillas and are a cinch to make. My husband loves ranch, so of course dipped his in ranch, while I dipped mine in a little extra pizza sauce. Thanks for the great recipe.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
I can't really give this recipe a fair rating because I only made the meatballs, and skipped the sauce recipe. To save time I just simmered the meatballs in a couple of jars of spaghetti sauce, and they turned out delicious. I even took the leftover meatballs to work the next day and ate them on a hoagie roll, meatball sandwich, and was really tasty! Next time I make these, I'll be sure to do it when I have extra time to make the sauce. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
This dough was great! I doubled the recipe and we made 4 smaller deep dish pizzas, Chicago-style. The crust turned out great, the pizza was delicious. This will be the only dough I make for pizza from now on. Thanks for the recipe.
