Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
I made this to take to a Halloween party and gots lots of compliments on it. I had a couple of people ask for the recipe as well. I love anything pumpkin flavored, and thought this was delicious. This recipe makes lots of dip, I had enough leftover that I put into a graham cracker pie crust. Thanks for the different idea, and yummy recipe.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
As a kid, stuffed peppers were a regular meal in our house. I tried this recipe as my first attempt making stuffed peppers on my own. They turned out really yummy, but they weren't quite as saucy as I remember my mother making hers. I will be using this recipe again, but I may tweak it a little bit next time. I did add extra garlic, extra Italian seasoning, and a little extra Worcestershire sauce for more flavor. My husband was skeptical, but ended up loving them and eating two. Thanks for the recipe!

Potato Tacos

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
These weren't quite as yummy as I was hoping. The potatoes needed a little more flavor, were a bit bland. If I were to make these again, I would add a little garlic, a little butter, lots of salt and pepper, and maybe even some chili powder to the potato mixture. The ranch dressing was good with them. I will try these again sometime, with just a few tweaks. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
These are so good! I took the advice of some of the other reviewers by adding an extra can of soup to avoid dry enchiladas. I think next time I'll leave the recipe as is though, was just a bit too much sauce, made the enchiladas a bit soggy. But still tasted great, especially the yummy chicken filling, and lucky for me my husband refuses to eat leftovers...more for me! Thanks for the recipe.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
I had to modify this recipe just a little bit because I didn't have any brown sugar, had to use white sugar with a little bit of honey instead. They didn't bake up quite right but they tasted unbelievable, they were so yummy. I can't wait to try this recipe again, using the brown sugar. Thanks for the yummy cookie recipe!

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
These muffins turned out really yummmy. I was able to get 12 muffins and a small loaf of bread out of the batter. I skipped the cloves because I don't care for them, and skipped the allspice because i didn't have any. Next time I may add a little extra cinnamon and nutmeg to make up for the other spices. I added chocolate chips to the batter used for the loaf and turned out so yummy. Thanks for the recipe, will be making this again.

Skin-on Savory Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
I goofed on this recipe, I didn't boil the potatoes long enough so they weren't completely done, (we were to anxious to eat!) The taste was really good though, we put extra sour cream on top along with some cheddar cheese. Will be making these again for sure, next time I'll practice a little more patience. Thanks for the recipe.

My husband and I loved this recipe. Didn't cook it on the grill, but cooked it in the oven instead. Turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2005
This recipe is great, adds lots of flavor to the basic burger. We halfed the recipe, for just my husband and I and cooked them on the stovetop, turned out so yummy. Thanks for the recipe.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2005
These are very sweet cookies, don't forget your tall glass of cold milk to gulp after each bite. They were a nice change from the usual cookie, and they're so quick with no baking. I only used 2 1/2 cups of sugar, and they turned out yummy. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Soup Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2005
Instead of using shredded chicken meat, I used whole boneless chicken breasts and put the ingredients over the chicken in a casserole dish. After they had baked for awhile and were tender enough, I took them out of the oven just long enough to cut them into chunks. Then I put them back in the oven for the remainder of the baking time. I also added a little bit of cheddar cheese to the top for the last five minutes of baking. We ate the cut up chicken pieces and sauce over baked potatoes. Was really yummy. Thanks for the recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2005
These cookies just weren't really what I was hoping for. They baked up fine, just didn't taste as good as I was hoping. This recipe does make plenty of cookies though, I halfed the recipe since there is only my husband and I. I think I will stick to my normal Mrs Fields chocolate chip cookie recipe, but I may give these another shot sometime. Thanks for the post.

Ignacio's Super Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2005
Hey, I loved it. I'm a big fan of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and now that my husband has started school again, I'll be making lots of dinners for one. Which means lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I spread peanut butter on two slices of bread and jellied the toasted bread on both sides with my very favorite homemade pear jam. Then I cut into four squares and enjoyed it just like a little kid. I loved it. Thanks for the recipe!

Tasty Breakfast Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2005
Can't be completely fair with this rating, I left out the sausage, which means I didn't have any sausage drippings for the gravy to go on top of the burrito. Instead I used some extra ham that I had, cut up, and they still turned out good with just the eggs, the green chili peppers, and lots of cheese. After Rolling them up I baked them in the oven for about ten minutes to make the tortilla nice and crispy and to melt the cheese. We served them with a little sour cream and salsa on top, and of course more cheese! Turned out really good. Thanks for the recipe.

Spicy Potatoes and Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
Made this for my husband and I the other morning and turned out great. He really loved the potatoes, and I thought that the eggs were great with the olive oil. We put lots of chili powder and seasoning salt on our potatoes. And we adorned our eggs with some homemade salsa. Was a great way to start our day. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
Doubled this recipe for dinner guests last night and it turned out great! It's one of our favorite dishes, we usually buy the frozen breaded chicken to use for chicken parmigiana, but I really think it's worth taking the extra time to bread your own chicken. We even fried the breaded chicken on the stove top just to brown them before baking them in the oven. Hey, if you're gonna go all out, might as well get as many calories as you can in one meal right! Turned out delicious and will be making again on a regular basis. Thanks for the yummy recipe.

Best Bruschetta Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2005
My husband and I love this recipe. I added a little bit of chopped red onion which added to the flavor but be careful of adding too much, after the mixture chills overnight, the onion is just a little strong. We put spoonfulls on sliced french bread and baked it in a 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes. So yummy. Thanks for the recipe.

Salsa Borracha (Drunk Salsa)

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
I will say that this recipe is different from the normal salsa that I usually make, but it is delicious. I added all ten jalapeno peppers, but I only added the seeds of five of them. I also added some cilantro, a little more garlic than it called for, and the juice from half of a lime. We ate it with our beef and bean chimichangas last night for dinner and it was so yummy. Will be making again for sure. Thanks for the recipe.

Weeknight Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2005
Had the in-laws over to dinner last night and made this for them, everybody really like it. Browning the chicken before baking it in the oven was a delicious idea. Thanks for the tasty recipe.
