Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. I used beef broth, like other reviewers suggested. I was hoping that it would have a little more flavor. Next time we make it, I will probably add an extra package of Italian seasoning like other suggested. We served ours on rolls with Swiss cheese and carmalized onions, and used some of the extra juice to dip our sandwiches into. Delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Chimichangas

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
This Receipe was great, especially the rice mixture, we loved it. I did change it up a bit by leaving out the chicken. I used a fresh squeezed lime, in place of the lemon juice, and added just a little bit of salsa to the avocado mixture. It was all very tasty once they were assembled together. I may opt to bake the chimichangas next time instead of frying. The fried tasted great of course, but I hate a smelly fried house for the next couple of day. Thanks for the great recipe, will be making these often.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2006
This recipe was good. I think I should have broken up the chips a little before layering them in the casserole dish. I used chunks of chicken breasts, which I cooked up with the onion. The overall taste of the dish was good, just a bit salty. The appearance of the dish wasn't too pretty though, that may have been my fault. I think I will try this recipe again, however I may use other reviewers' suggestions and try it with corn or flour tortillas. Thanks for the recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
My husband and I took this dip to a New Years Party and everybody loved it. The next day we both regretted leaving the leftovers at the hosts' house. We will be making this again for sure, and next time around I may susbstitute the blue cheese dressing for the ranch. Yum. Thanks for the recipe.

Mexican Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
This recipe really turned out great. We used our leftover turkey from Christmas dinner to make tasty tacos and burritos for a post-Christmas/pre-New Years Fiesta. Combine it in a soft tortilla with cheese, sour cream, avocado, and lime juice and you've got a delicious meal. Thanks for the yummy recipe.

Soda Cracker Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
So tasty! The only problem that I had was with the chocolate chips and almonds falling off when I broke the candy up into pieces. Made it difficult to still make it look pretty, had to pick through the pieces to find pretty ones to give to neighbors. I used 1 bag of semisweet chocolate chips and the other bag was the new chocolate/carmel swirl chips. Turned out so good. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
I've decided that this is actually a great "diet food". Anytime you've got a hankering for something sweet, just shave a small sliver off this fudge and let it melt in your mouth. You're sweet tooth will be more than satisified. This fudge was tasty, and was a great Christmas treat to add to gift plates of cookies. Thank for sharing the recipe.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
Delicious! Was just a little bit gummy in the middle of the casserole, but I'm positive it's because I didn't bake it for the full amount of time. Will be making again for sure, and I'll be sure to bake it for the proper time. Thanks for the great recipe!

No Roll Pie Crust II

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
This recipe was easy and even fun to make. I didn't pre-bake it, instead I added my pumpkin filling and baked it along with the pie. Turned out really yummy and flaky. Thanks for the recipe!

Cherry Crunch

This was really tasty and very easy to make. My husband and father-in-law couldn't keep away from it. I baked mine in a 9" round cake pan and we cut it into pie slices. Will be making again for sure. Thanks for the recipe.

Chocolate Layered Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
Made this to take to work as a pre-Thanksgiving treat, and my coworkers loved it. I screwed up on the amount of chocolate pudding used, instead of the 5 oz called for in the recipe, I used the smaller 3.4 oz box. Still turned out good, just didn't have as thick of a chocolate layer. I can't give it a fair rating because I didn't make the crust, instead I used a pre-made Shortbreat crust. I will make this recipe again though, using the crust called for in the recipe. Thanks for the recipe, and my coworkers all say thanks too.

Banana Cream Supreme

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
I didn't have any bananas on hand, so instead I put the entire amount of the pudding in the pie shell without the layer of bananas, and toasted some coconut to sprinkle on top. Turned out really yummy, since I left out the bananas I couldn't be completely fair with the rating so I gave it a 4, but tasted like a 5. Thanks for the recipe.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
This was my first time making an over the stove cream pie. I followed the recipe exactly without any changes. I'm not sure what happened (maybe I cooked the cream for just a bit too long) but the cream has a few lumps in it (kind of like tapioca). If anybody knows how I screwed up, would love to know so I can try the recipe again with no lumps. Next time around I think I may add extra coconut, and maybe some coconut extract like others have suggested. I thought it needed just a little more coconut flavor. Thanks for the recipe.

Cold Macaroni and Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2005
This recipe is good but pretty dry compared to most macaroni salads. I doubled the amount of mayo that was called for and even added 1 Tbsp of milk, but was still pretty dry. The taste was good though, I added some sweet relish, some diced Cheddar cheese, and a few sprinkles of Seasoning Salt. Next time I'll be sure to either add more mayo, or cut all of the other ingredients in half except for the mayo that's called for (makes too much salad for just my husband and I anyway). Thanks for the recipe.

Jimmy's Mexican Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
I thought these were great. I left out the ground beef because I didn't have any, so we made our vegetarian style. I sauted the onion and garlic in some olive oil, along with some green pepper. And I added all of the spices meant to go in the beef, into the refried beans instead. Didn't have any Monterey Jack cheese, so we just used extra Cheddar. I sliced an avocado and some tomato with a little lime, and ate the mixture over the pizza, along with some sour cream. Was so good! Thanks for the super easy and yummy recipe!

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
I made this to take to a Halloween party and gots lots of compliments on it. I had a couple of people ask for the recipe as well. I love anything pumpkin flavored, and thought this was delicious. This recipe makes lots of dip, I had enough leftover that I put into a graham cracker pie crust. Thanks for the different idea, and yummy recipe.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
As a kid, stuffed peppers were a regular meal in our house. I tried this recipe as my first attempt making stuffed peppers on my own. They turned out really yummy, but they weren't quite as saucy as I remember my mother making hers. I will be using this recipe again, but I may tweak it a little bit next time. I did add extra garlic, extra Italian seasoning, and a little extra Worcestershire sauce for more flavor. My husband was skeptical, but ended up loving them and eating two. Thanks for the recipe!
