Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II
Fantastic recipe, even my partner who dislikes asparagus loved it. I also sauteed the onions, a clove of garlic and asparagus in a couple of tbs of butter before putting them into the chicken broth.

Cream of Mushroom Soup I
Great basic recipe. Some changes I made: sauteed onion, 6cups of mushroom (half white button and half shitake), and 1 minced garlic in butter before cooking in chicken broth. Pureed 2/3 of veggies, saving 1/3 to give soup some texture later. I added one can of chicken broth to the flour and butter mixture and cooked mixture on medium heat until it boiled. Then added the pureed and whole veggies, salt and pepper, 1cup of heavy cream, and about 1/4 cup of sherry (since I increased the chicken broth). Yum!
