Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

I was looking for a quick dessert, and came across this recipe at another site, really was skeptical about the 3 packages of cream cheese, but I figured, what the heck, can't have to much of a good thing, so tried it, minus the almonds, and was really surprised when it turned out so well. Think next time I will try 2 packages of cream cheese, and dot with some pie filling before putting the top layer of dough on. BTY I found "Crescent Recipe" rolls of dough, that you don't have to close the perforations on, it is all one rectangular piece, perfect fit for the 9x13 pan, just remember NOT to spread the filling all the way to the edge of the dough, leave it just before you reach the side of the pan. Great dessert, and soooo simple!!!!!

Bread Machine Focaccia

This is a GREAT recipe. I tried one other yesterday, and it was not very good, very dry, and not much flavor. On the other hand this one is very nice, I used a bit more garlic and did add some kosher salt to the topping, it was far and above the other one, is now all gone!!! Did not use the bread machine, but put everything in the Kitchenaid mixer and kneaded it that way for about 5 min. Also used Spelt flour, since I have a gluten intolerant kid, but she can have Spelt. Was really GREAT. Will surely make again.

Cornbread Muffins I

This is one of the BEST recipes for cornbread ever. Being form the North, I LOVE sweet cornbread, and this one is wonderful. Will surely make again and again.

The Best Potato Salad

I have made this for many years, the only comment I have is to save time you can cook potatoes and eggs together, for the 15 to 20 min. works out well.

Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Baklava II

I was just wondering if anyone else had the amount of nuts left over that I did???will have enough to make many more desserts. Seems great though, it is in the oven as I write this.Thanks for the recipe, I have been looking for this, for a long time.

Real Homemade Bologna

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Usually I make recipes exactly as stated before reviewing, but this is the exception. Tasted the sauce before pouring over the chicken, and it was SOOOO salty from the soy sauce, that I needed to do something, because salt will not come out. I added some vinegar, I had balsamic on hand, and then some lemon juice,also we like spicy foods, so added cayenne pepper also. It was much better taste then. Baked for 20 min then turned up the heat to 450 and returned to oven to crisp up the skin, about 15 min till done. Was really a wonderful tasting dish, and VERY moist. Will make this many more times.

Jumbo Cream Rolls

I just made this recipe today, and now I understand why there was a mess in the oven, if they used an 8" square pan. These rolls are quite large, and there is NO WAY that they would cook and NOT spill over if you used the named sized pan. I used 2 9x13" pans and baked for 30 min. These rolls filled each pan with 6 rolls in each pan. There must have been a mistake in the pan size in this recipe. I have been baking for many years, so sorta knew when I read this that the pan size was incorrect. If you use the 9x13 pans, these come out very well. Just be sure to turn them out within 5 min or you will have to rewarm them to get them to come out. Dough is really great, rolls out well and has a nice flavor, I added vanilla flavoring to the dough too.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

This is a awsome recipe. I was not sure when I read it, but tried it as written before I did any changing, and was very pleased with the results. Nice and spicy with very good flavors. Next time I may put some orange segments, canned mandarin I think would work, to add to the orange flavor and maybe cut down on the water and substitute either juice from the canned oranges or more orange juice to the liquid mixture. Just some thoughts from one who has been cooking for a number of years. You should try this it is well worth it. ;)

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Don't care for the maple sausage, and to make it even simpler, you don't have to remove the sausage, just before it is cooked, sprinkle the flour in and stir it into the sausage and drippings, till the sausage is fully cooked,and the flour looses its "floury" taste, then add milk and whisk till thickened, makes it less messy, and a WHOLE lot easier. Thanks for a nice recipe.

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

I was VERY disappointed with this recipe. I did as the recipe instructed, and in the morning had stuck oatmeal on the sides of the pot and a watery MESS in the center. Don't know if anyone else had this happen, but will NOT make this again.!!!!!!

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

Well, I have never made bread with oil before, and was really skeptical about using it. No more skepticism, it does work. This bread has great texture, and wonderful homemade taste. Made three loaves this AM, the dough raised wonderfully, but with 3 TBSP yeast you would expect that. Will use this recipe as my go to from now on. Thanks for sharing such a great one.

Buttermilk Honey Bread

Good recipe for anyone who likes to bake bread. Only used 6 cups flour, also used buttermilk powder with water, and was fine. The baking time stated 30 min, I took it out then, but when I cut it, it was a bit gooey in the center of one loaf, so next time I will bake 35 min or so. Great taste and texture. Will surely make again.

Pink Dippin' Sauce

Made this yesterday, and as others, was ready to pitch it in the trash right after making, and tasting. Later last night I decided to give it another taste, and it was very nice. I did add a little more sugar, since I used Coleman's dry mustard, which is a little stronger than regular dry mustard, and did add some Alpine touch spice mix, really good on most anything, but fish and fries are really exceptional with it.

Pepperoncini Beef

Very good recipe for sandwiches. As for some of the comments about being to spicy, we sure did not feel this was the case, in fact I was thinking about adding some cayenne pepper to it to heat it up some more. Also, the comment about being dry, sure don't know HOW that happened, we had more than enough juice. Followed the recipe exactly, but did use some beef broth as well as the juice from the peppers. Thanks for the new addition to my collection of GREAT recipes!!!

Coconut Rice

I was disappointed with this recipie. The liquid ratio to rice was really off, and I had to add quite a bit more liquid to get the rice to cook correctly. The flavor was fine, but would add some raisins for added flavor.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

If I could give this more stars I would, it is one of THE BEST recipes I have tried recently. We love chicken and eat it often, as I am always looking for different ways to fix it, I tried this and was NOT disappointed at all. Great Flavor and marvelous combination of ingredients. Will make this OFTEN!!!!
