Bacon Cheese Frittata

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
This was ok. The texture was weird, but I've never had a frittata before so maybe it was just me. The flavor was good, but I only made it through half a slice before I was done with it. I guess I'm not much of a savory breakfast eater.

Chicken Marsala

I omitted the cooking sherry and bumped up the Marsala wine to 3/4 cup and this was incredibly delicious!

Easy Eggnog Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This was ok. I followed the recipe to a T and added chocolate chips at the end of freezing. It was ok, but it was pretty bland. I wish I had read the first review listed and added some vanilla, eggs, and sugar to give this more pizazz. It wasn't bad and we'll eat the whole serving for sure, but it could've been better. This was my first time making ice cream in my new ice cream maker so I'm still learning and experimenting.

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
This was delicious!!!!! We used sirloin instead of Flat Iron and green onions instead of chives, but otherwise followed everything else to a T. This is definitely a keeper, in fact, we'll probably make it again next week!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
Very good! I took the advice of some other reviewers and this turned out sooo tasty for a low-carb diet! First I cooked the chicken until it was just brown on the outside, then threw it in a gallon ziplock bag with hoison sauce and soy sauce because I didn't have any teriyaki. Let it marinate for 20 minutes while the oven is preheating. I also used real bacon and didn't put the bacon or cheese on until the last 10 minutes of cooking. Very very tasty and will try it with teriyaki next time!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
This is a delicious recipe! I should have listened to the other reviewers though. I baked the cookies for 8 minutes, but they were still too gooey to remove from the pan, so I put them back in the oven for another minute. Of course, when they cooled they were hard. Next time I'll pull them out of the oven at 8 minutes and let them sit on the pan for a minute or so. Otherwise, they were absolutely delicious! Definitely saving this one to my recipe box!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I made this with one block of Velveeta, and two bags of shredded cheese and it was still too soupy. Next time I'll do it with two blocks of Velveeta and the shredded cheese because I like it to be really cheesy! Aside from that, the flavor was great!! It made enough that we had a lot of leftovers that we put in the freezer to have for dinner sometime soon.
