Great, just the right amount of sweetness. Great base tto add fruit, nuts, chocolate chips as well. I also substituted 1/2 the flour with ww flour.

Barley Bake

Great recipe. I used beef broth and a few more mushrooms than the recipe stated. Also, if you are trying to cut the fat/calories, definitely no need to use 1/4 c. of butter. I used 1-2 TB and it was delicious. Served to some family who never had barley before and they loved it and requested the recipe.

Boston Brown Bread III

So easy to make and really yummy! Pretty sweet but not overly so. I didn't have buttermilk so I substituted vinegar and milk for 1/2 of it and plain yogurt for the other 1/2 of it.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

Delicious! I had never tried eggplant this way but wanted to try something besides italian with the eggplant I had. I thought it was wonderful and will make again.

Blueberry Buckle

Not as moist as I was expecting, but still good. I added a few more blueberries than called for and made sure to dust them all w/ flour so I had no problem with them distributing throughout.

Spinach and Pasta Shells

Delicious, everyone loved it. I added a can of tomatoes and parmesan cheese and also used fresh spinach which I added in w/ the pasta in the last 2-3 minutes of ocoking.

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

very time consuming, but tasty. I think its really important to use really good chocolate and peanut butter if you're going to take the time to make these, which I didn't do but will try next time.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Great! Made this for my boyfriends birthday and he loved it! Marinated them for a little less than 24 hours. Omitted liquid smoke but kept everything else the same. Also marinade could be used for more than 2 steak servings.
