White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2013
This is a keeper! I followed the recipe as much as I ever do...I kept pretty close to this one, esp with the spices, just cutting the cinnamon in half. It was delicious. I was able to use fresh New Mexico green chiles too, which made it even better, but it would still be great with canned.

Authentic Mexican Chili Rellenos

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2013
This batter was the best I've ever tried! I don't dry the chiles at all; the flour sticks just fine and I followed another person's advice and put them in the freezer for about an hour then refloured them before putting them in the batter. I also added a bit of salt to the batter. I used 3 eggs for 5 large poblano chiles. So tasty!

Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
This turned out fantastic! I will never buy mayo again as all the ones in the stores have GMO ingredients. Easy recipe, tastes like normal mayo. I've made mayo in the past, but it always tasted weird.

Excellent Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
I made this recipe according to the directions but baked the cookies at 350 and they took just under 10 minutes and turned out wonderful. Might try 325 next time just to see what happens.

Perfect Sushi Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
This makes excellent sushi rice. For my own taste, I cut down the vinegar to 1/3 cup and omitted the oil.

Classic Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
If I made these again, I would cut way back on the butter, sugar and water. They were too greasy and too sweet. I even used more sweet potatoes than called for, but they went largely uneaten at a feast where everything else was demolished.

Perfect Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
Turned out great. I had to substitute as I can't get some ingreds where I live, but still turned out fantastic. I cooked at 10 lbs. for 40 min. but it could still have used a few more minutes and would have been fine. The gravy was divine. Will make again.

Perfect Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
Consistency turned out really well. Flavour a bit tart for my liking on scones (or eating with spoon), but will keep for when I want a more tart lemon curd.

Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
This was so good! I tweaked it a bit and used swiss chard instead of of spinach. I sauteed it with garlic and used edam cheese and pearl fish. I also seasoned the fish with some other spices and baked at 350 for 30 min. The kids didn't care for it, but I'll make it again for myself and my husband!

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
I liked the crust on this recipe, but it was way too sweet for my tastes. Next time will cut the sugar in half and also cut the water in half. I will make it again.

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2005
Made perfect crust the first time. I made 2 thick crusts and had no problem with the topping getting too done before the crust was brown. I'll be using this one as my standard pizza crust from now on.
