Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
It's still simmering for the last hour, but I snuck in and tasted some broth and took a piece of meat - DELICIOUS! I kind of wish I hadn't tried it early bc now the smells are taunting me worst. Thank you for the delicious recipe Paula! Very easy to make, very delicious.

Buried Cherry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
These cookies were really easy to make and I had everything already in the house which was nice. My kids weren't 100% thrilled by this recipe but I definitely enjoyed a dessert that went beyond chocolate chips and the combination of cherry and almond was delicious. Will be adding to my holiday routine definitely!!!

Italian Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
I just got done frosting these cookies, and it took every ounce of willpower to walk away from them in order to rate the recipe. They are phenomenal. A complete change from my normal choc-chip cookies, so light and fluffy and delicious. Perfect for after a pasta dinner with an espresso. Thank you so much for this recipe!!!

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
These are YUMMY!!! I have never had a deviled egg in my life so I have nothing to compare them to, but I have definitely become a fan. I didn't have any celery on hand, so I used sweet relish instead. I used a copius amount of hot sauce, and it worked really well with the sweet taste first, and then the spiciness catching you off guard towards the end. Next time I might add a little vinegar to try it out, and making it the night before and letting it chill in the fridge might work too. Thank you for a delicious recipe Di!!!!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2006
I made this for dinner last night, and completely screwed it up. I didn't cook the tilapia for long enough before I added the sauce, and then I didn't have enough sauce anyway. Needless to say, we ordered pizza. However, I saved the fish, and rebroiled it after scraping the sauce off. I remade the sauce and did everything correctly. DELICIOUS!!! I LOVED IT!! I hate fish so much, but this is delicious. I added garlic salt, and used celery seed, instead of celery salt. Definitely in my rotation, thank you for not making fish so intimidating!

Chewy Chocolate Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2006
I enjoyed this recipe very much. I came to allrecipes looking for a cookie recipe, without the chocolate chips. I decided on this one b/c so many people had said they either substituted or omitted the chips entirely. I baked these in a 9x13 pan and then sliced them up. Very tasty, reminds me of brownies a lot, but that's probably because I added about 6 chunks of bakers chocolate. I baked them for about 25 minutes, and they still appear very gooey even after cooling for 35 minutes. Still very tasty though, very rich, one piece is more than enough for me!

Fresh Tasting Black Beans With Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
This recipe was really good, but it needed a lot of tweaking I also sauteed the onions with butter and garlic, while cooking the rice. Then I drained the beans, and added everything to a pan, and had it on top of the stove for a while. While doing that I added a little celery, cilantro, and parsley. It came out pretty good, but I forgot to spice it up so everyone added hot sauce, which also worked out b/c everyone likes it at different levels of hotness. Will make again, and was pretty good, but I think it will be a "nothing else to make" recipe.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
I have made this recipe multiple times, and it's delicious every time. My husband is a huge Kozy Shack pudding fan, and I am actually able to compete with it, with this recipe.

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
This meatloaf was delicious! Instead of steak sauce I used hot sauce and used tomato paste mixed with brown sugar and a little garlic for the sauce. I made it with mashed potatoes and spinach with corn muffins. Delish! Also I omitted the peppers, and used onion powder instead of an onion as my daughter won't eat vegetables that are "hidden". Definitely a must try!

Cheeseburger Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
I enjoyed this meal very much, although my husband didn't share my opinion. I don't know how much I should take his into account, as he isn't a very big casserole fan as it is. My two year old loved it! I did tweak it a bit, adding mushrooms, more tomoatoes, and using mozzarella, parmigiano, and cheddar cheeses. I also used bowtie pasta instead of spaghetti.
