Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2005
Great taste! The only problem with this recipie was that the cornbread fell apart easily, but other than that, my picky kids loved it.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
I like my cornbread to be cooked into a cast iron skillet. I think that is where I went wrong with this recipe. My cornbread came out very heavy. I had to cook it about 10-15 minutes longer than what the recipe called for because the middle was too “doughy.” What I did like about it was that it did not fall apart like the “Sweet Cornbread” recipe I tried, but it was too heavy. Maybe I will try it again in a 9x13 pan like the recipe calls for and then I will hopefully have better luck.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Wonderful. Cinnabon's are wonderful and I have never tasted (yet alone made) anything that tasted so simular. Great recipe! Everyone loved it and the icing was wonderful too!

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
This was the first brownie recipe I did off of allrecipies.com and the brownies came out so wonderful that I do not need to look any farther than this recipe. I added semi-sweet chocolate chips to it (1/3 cup) and the brownies were wonderful!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
These pancakes alway come out great when I make them. I do prefer buttermilk pancakes, but when I do not have buttermilk, I will use this recipe. The only reason I gave it 4-Stars is because it has a great taste, but for some reason I haven't found the "WOW" I am looking for. I will still try other recipes, but this one will be in my recipe box.

Kristen's Awesome Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2006
I was craving oatmeal cookies, and these hit the spot. I wanted raisins, but my kids begged for chocolate chips to be put in the batter. It still came out perfect. I have added this to one of my favorite recipies!

Praline Pecans

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
These came out good, but they are so rich that you can't eat a lot. I think that this would be a great snack for the hollidays.

Mike's Homemade Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
I didn't make the sauce, so my rating is on the crust. I buttered my cast iron, sprinkeled garlic salt on the bottom along with a tiny bit of corn meal. I cheated and bought store pizza sauce. But overall, the family loved it.

Easy 'Charro' Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
I always make refried beans, but this was an awesome recipe. All I did was in the evening, I used dried beans in a crockpot, added all the ingredients, except the whole garlic cloves (I used minced garlic instead) and I added a can of Rotel, other than that I followed the recipe. I cooked the meats and added them to the crockpot and let it all cook overnite. Added some salt & garlic salt the next day and it was ready for lunch. Ate with cornbread (Golden Sweet Cornbread Recipe) and another day mashed them for some burritos. WONDERFUL!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2007
My husband use to love these when they made them in elementary school (not anymore due to the nutritional value). I found this recipe and surprised him with it. He loves it, kids love it and so do I. Very good.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
This was super rich, but I followed some of the advice of others, and instead of folding cool whip into the pudding mixture, I whipped 1/2 a pint heavy cream for 10 minutes and then folded into the pudding mixture. I also drizzled caramel (the kind for ice cream) over the brownies as I was layering and topped the dish off with heath toffee pieces. This was a fun and yummy recipe...thanks for sharing it.

Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
My husband and I enjoyed this, but next time I will make some modifications. Some of the users added a splash of red wine, and I will try that, because I felt it was missing something, so that will hopefully help. This recipe would even be good over pasta. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

Baked Pineapple Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
I personally did not care for this. Maybe with some icecream on top, but it was mushy. It kind of reminded me of eating bread pudding, but it was just weird.

Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
This was a pretty good sandwich. My husband (who is very picky) ate it, but was not overly impressed with it. I thought it was a nice change to ordinary sandwiches, but probably will not make again due to my husbands preferences.

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
Okay, I do not know where I went wrong, because the taste of the soup was AMAZING. Very good! But this was no soup for me...It was very thick, the potates were over-cooked and when I went to put up the leftovers, it came out in a glob (very thick). I read some reviews and I don't know where I went wrong :(

Mock Chicken Fried Steak

This was good...but was even better when I toasted some hamburger buns and put the chicken fried steak on it with some cream gravy topping. Now that was good!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Best apple pie ever! Loved the taste! I bought the deep dish pie crust and used that, and I found out that I only needed 1/2 the amount of apples. This recipe is worth trying out!

Kat's Alfredo Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Okay, I took a little bit of everyones suggestions and did the following: Use pizza blend cheese to replace swiss cheese. For 8x8, use 6 potatoes and cut milk in 1/2. Sprinkle some liquid smoke, add 1 tsp. of garlic powder and cook at least 1 1/2 hours. It came out wonderful and I wish I had followed anothers advice to sprinkle cheese on top the last 10 minutes of cooking. Was not disapointed with this one.
