Breakfast Burritos

I made a variation of this recipe , sausage ,diced potatoes , and a small amount of chopped onion and peppers all cooked together in my favorite cast iron skillet. When everything is cooked , break 4 or 5 eggs over the whole mess ,stir together while the eggs cook. Then spoon into the tortilla and top with mexican blend cheese.

Grandma Wells' Tuna Macaroni Salad

I thought this looked good enough that i should have a rating, so i tried it. I ran short on celery so i added a little celery salt. Also used sweet relish in place of the pickle. This is as any other Tuna Mac Salad on this site. And i like the fact that this was someones Grandma's recipe.

Real N'awlins Muffuletta

Never heard of this till I saw it on Emeril. Following his lead I make this recipe but I wrap it if foil and put it in the oven at 375 for 15-20 minutes before serving. Try it this way too.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Followed the recipe exactly- I brined the turkey in a jumbo size ziplock bag overnight, (11 lb fresh turkey) . Put the turkey and brine in the ziplock then put this inside a big plastic bowl in the fridge and it worked well. This was the juiciest and best turkey we ever had, everyone loved it. Also made gravy with drippings- a little salty but we liked it salty so it was good. Absolutely will make again and again. As an additional note I now use a round Igloo cooler (used at construction sites for water) to brine in, it works perfect.

Kathy's Delicious Italian Pasta Salad

Very Good!! I have made this with several variations of the main ingredients. I have used different kinds of genoa salami ,ham ,pepperoni ,different kinds of cheese ,munster ,mozzerella ,cheddar , pepperjack. It always turns out excellent...thanks much for this. Oh, and use white basalmic vinegar

Icy Blender Lemonade

I agree it needed a little tweaking but it is a good recipe to start from. I like my lemonade pulpy, but I doubled the ice. (make sure your blender will chop ice) I am currently working on a half & half (tea & lemonade) recipe. If anyone has perfected one please post it.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Made this for Thanksgiving dinner- mixed all but the broth up the night before- added the broth right before cooking. Followed the recipie exactly except added more broth and left out the eggs. Everyone loved this stuffing, my mother said it was the best she ever had. It stayed moist on "warm" ALL DAY in the slow cooker, never dried out. Wonderful taste. Will definitely make again. Thanks.

World's Best Lasagna

Based on the reviews, we were expecting an out of this world lasagna. It was good, but there are some other lasagna recipes here that are just as good and not as much work . It was good but not the best we ever had. We won't make again.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

This was really good. I used chicken broth instead of vegetable broth, and I used half regular portobellos and half baby portobellos. I also only used one cup of sour cream (because it's all I had). It was perfect.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Great steaks!! Made these for my girlfriend and family for mothers day. I got my butcher to cut some 2" thick New York strip. Everyone that had one (6 of us,all adults) said it was the best steak they have ever had. To be fair the best steak house in a 30 mi radius is Outback. The taste of the meat, not the marinade comes through. I have been told that we WILL be having these again.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

A couple of minor changes make coleslaw lovers out of 2 members of my family. A little extra milk and buttermilk and a little less mayo and substitute pineapple juice for the lemon juice. I also increased the black pepper, just because i like it.

Baked Potato Salad I

I used half sour cream half mayo, increased the bacon, used about 2/3 lb of cubed velveta and mixed the olives in but, added chives when it was done. We are waiting for it to cool so we can try it cold. The recipe says 12 servings , but not around here

Chicago-Style Hot Dog

Thumbs up all around on this one. Everyone loved these (even with the substitutions we had to make) I will be trying to track down the "correct" ingredients. Some recipes I found (other sites) called for cukes instead of pickles. I won't knock it till I've tried it that way too.

Best Tuna Melt (New Jersey Diner Style)
