Alison's Gluten Free Bread
I am new to a gluten-free diet. I tried this bread but found it too rubbery with a faint unpleasant aftertaste. Other people who do gluten-free baking have told me that the aftertaste is to be expected. But I wondered about the tablespoon of xanthan gum - if it was supposed to be a teaspoon? No other reviewers remarked on it, so I guess it is just my personal taste that it seemed too much.

Next Day Turkey Soup
I was looking for a turkey soup that was a little different - not the usual white potato or noodle type. This was GREAT! I made it just as written, except that I used my homemade turkey broth from the turkey carcass. I didn't have sage leaves, so I used bay leaf, and a little dried tarragon and basil. The sweet potato/turkey is a wonderful flavor combo, with all the other veg & orzo to give it body. Husband & after-Thanksgiving guests all loved it.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I
Delicious tender beef. I did double the beef broth so that the meat & vegetables would be submerged. I cooked on Low for 10 hours. Next time I'll try doubling the flour as well.
