Romaine with Garlic Lemon Anchovy Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
So I throughly enjoyed this recipe. I love anchovies (especially in salad dressing). The fresh shaved parmesan cheese comleted this dish. Will be making repeatedly.

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
This came out really good. Ive never been much of an egg salad eater but it sounded good to me so I made it. I did make a couple changes though. Instead of mayo i used fat free mayo as well as light sour cream. I diced up some celery and picked some dill from my garden... and since I just bought a dozen bagels I decided to have it on an egg bagel. Then topped off with some capers. Mmmmm...

Grandmother's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
These came out really good. They were a little soft and sticking together in storage but that doesn't really matter...as long as they taste good...and they do! The only thing I changed was I chopped up Rollos candies and threw them into the dough. The bites with caramel and chocolate in them are a treat!

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
This was very tasty! Tastes just like the real thing from an authentic chinese restaurant. I added a little bit of soy sauce to mine because I like the flavor it gives. Also, I think I would prefer green onions to chives.

Detroit Hot Honey Wings

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
These were sooooo good! I was hoping the hot sauce (I used Franks) would shine through more but tasty none the less. I served Franks on the side for additional dipping. So delicious!

Maple Dill Carrots

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
I used fresh dill from my herb garden out back. These came out great. I didn't let all of the water evaporate. I was worried the carrots would get overcooked. Will most likely make again. Yum!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
This was so good! I made a 4 layer cake for my moms birthday. It held together well and the icing was amazing. I didn't put pecans in the batter....only around the outside of the cake. I also dyed the frosting lavender. Great recipe!

Churros

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
These came out great! Much easier than I thought it would be. The dough was pretty firm so instead of making a mess with a pipping bag or plastic bag I just rolled them into balls. Tasted just like a churro!

Country-Style Grilled Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
These turned out great. Country ribs can be a bit fatty and my bf is VERY picking about fat on meat so I trimmed them up a bit before hand. Makes them easier for eating. I will make these again. Very tasty. MMMMM!

Seafood Piccata

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
This was pretty good. I just used flounder instead of scallops, shrimp, and crab. I added summer squash, sundried tomatoes and spinach (for color) as well as garlic. Then I tossed piccata sauce and flounder into pasta. Yum!

This is by far my favorite wing recipe. So good. Perfect amount of heat. My bf who loves traditional buffalo wings couldn't decide which he liked better. I will be making these often. Next time I'm going to try chicken breats like the other reviewer. Amazing! Can't get enough!

Squash Braid

This was so much fun to make. Im always trying to bake new and unique breads. The squash gave the bread a beautiful golden color inside and out. Braiding it was fun and makes the presentation looks so much better. Thanks for this recipe!

Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This was so good. I didn't have any problems making the breading stick..I made sure my oil was super hot. I didn't use lard and I didn't have any vegetable oil on hand so I used peanut oil and a little crisco. Also, I added breakfast sausage to the gravy. Yum! Served with mashed potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, broccoli and corn on the cob.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
Very good. I used a seafood mix (scallops, shrimp, and calamari) instead of chicken and mini bow ties instead of linguini. Also omitted the peppers as I didn't have any on hand. Excellent and fattening!
