About this Cook
I am Corporate Communications major at Penn State and I love to cook. It has always been my first love and I hope to open up a bakery and hopefully a restuarant once I graduate, or sometime in the near future. I enjoy seeing others eat my food and I'm not afraid of some harsh criticism.
My favorite things to cook
Some of the things I like to cook are Creole Blackened Chicken Alfredo Homemade Lasanga Noodles with Pepperoni and Meat Sauce, Chicken Tetrazinni, Pork Tederloin with Apricot Mustard Glaze, Curry Chicken, Peanut Soup, Southwestern Egg Rolls, Cabbage & Zuchinni Soup, Olive Salad, Habenero Chicken Fingers, Pork Chops with Jack Daniels Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everybody always helped in the kitchen and the recipes that my grandmother used she gave to all of her children and grandchildren. Each of us makes it our own, but at the end of the day we all love each others cooking. One of the things we always do the week before Christmas or Thanksgiving is prepare all of the sweets. We make all the pies and the cookies and store them in gift boxes until its time for the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to bake breads. I was never good with yeast and it never worked for me. But once I mastered it I was able to make breads such as Challah, Raisin Bread, Whole Wheat, and my favorite Croissants.
My cooking tragedies
Fish. I tried to make some Blackened Jamaican Jerk Fish and it turned out too dry. That was my worst tragedy.

Danish Kringle
I was afraid that the dough wasn't going to work but it turned out really buttery and flaky. I filled my Kringle with strawberries and sprinkled with raw sugar and egg white before baking. My entire family loved it.

Mall Pretzels
These pretzels were really good and easy to make. They are very versatile. I usually make half pretzels and the other half of the dough I wrap around hotdogs and bake at the same temp. I put on seaseme seeds, onions, and cinnamon and sugar. Really great and the best thing to mall pretzels.
