I love trying out new recipes, especially regional cuisine with which I'm unfamiliar. I often adapt recipes to suit my vegan lifestyle, which is sometimes a challenge, but I embrace it and am usually happy with the results. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, so I enjoy cooking and being able to control what goes into my body. Sharing my culinary creations with friends and loved ones is probably what I enjoy most about cooking (I just hope they like it!).

Vegan food, Asian (esp. Indian and Thai), presumably healthier versions of old favorites, anything spicy
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving: Mom bakes delicious rolls--the only thing that comes close to running out at dinner, even with the vast spread we always have laid out.
Christmas season: We bake loads, especially roll-out sugar cookies and Mom's mini pecan tarts.
Any holiday: We all help in the wrapping, frying, and eating of massive quantities of lumpia. It's impossible to make more than a few dozen in one sitting. But I need to work on a good vegan alternative.
