Spicy Haddock

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2007
Delicious! Didn't use the oil and it was still very good--don't need it. I added some pickled jalepenos because I like spicy food. Thanks for the recipe, I will make this again.

Veggie-Bean Brunch Casserole

Yum! Great vegetarian dish...just so you know though, vegetarians DO eat eggs, but vegans don't.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
Funny, I was reading through the reviews and someone made this because they were craving it during studying for finals...that is the same reason I made it! Anyhow, this was very good. I used 1/2 cup of sugar instead and it is enough for me. This tastes much better and purer than the kind from stores, less chalky. It is not really that time consuming...unless you have no patience and are VERY time pressed! Takes about 5 minutes...worth it!

Christmas Gift Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
This was really good. I used only Robin Hood Multi Grain flour for bread and didn't make the icing and it turned out great and was very delicious!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2006
These muffins, as I'm sure you can all tell by the ratings, are amazing! I only had whole wheat flour and the muffins were still perfect. I also made 12 smaller muffins intead of 8 large ones, which worked great! My whole family loves them, even my 3 year old, who was hesitant and hates berries in anything, really enjoys them. Thanks for the great recipe!

Layered Eggplant Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2006
Very, very good! I had to use mushroom spaghetti sauce instead of the tomato paste because it was what I had on hand, also I only had half the amount of parmesan cheese and it was all that was really needed. I only used half as much beef as well because I always try to cut back. This turned out to be very yummy! Thank you for this recipe, it's my new favorite way to cook eggplant!

Jalapeno Hummus

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
WOW! I have been making my own hummus for 3 years, ever since I first tried it at a traditional Greek restraunt. This is my first time trying to make a flavoured kind of hummus and it is amazing! I doubled the recipe to make for a party and I can't wait to take it there. I had a hard time not eating all myself just now. I decorated it with crushed pepper flakes and sliced jalapenos on top! Looks great, wonderful creamy consistency and amazing taste! Thank you for this recipe!!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2006
I agree with some of the other reviews that said something was missing flavour wise. I did use whole wheat flower and made the cookies too big, so they were cakey, so maybe that is why, but they were still pretty good. They have a unique taste for a cookie and they weren't too sugary like all the packaged kinds are. I will make them again.

Spicy Black Bean Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
This was really good, but when I scaled it down to 6 servings, it called for 1 and 1/4 cup of mayo which is WAY too much. I'm not sure if this is because of the scaling or not. I would half the mayo in this case. I added the whole can of black beans to make up for it. I used red onion because it was all I had and it was good. I also added more cajun seasoning because I love it! I served this with a slow-cooked chicken and corn! Very yummy! Thanks for the recipe.

This was very good. I added quite a bit of seasoning salt and pepper. I used less sausage though. I made it with coleslaw and whole wheat rolls. Thanks Marilyn!

Simple Sicilian Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
This dressing is so versatile and easy, I've made many variations. You can add garlic powder or minced garlic, sugar, Italian seasoning, and I usually add Red Wine Vinegar as well. One thing that I noticed from another review --OIL AND VINEGAR NATURALLY SEPARATE--ITS CHEMISTRY--JUST SHAKE IT UP!!!

Cheeseburger Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2006
I used the wrong hashbrowns for sure. They were cheese ones and they dissolved into the soup to make it really thick and only taste like funny hashbrowns. Wish I could have tasted it like it's supposed to. Might try it again.

Warm Greek Pita Sandwiches With Turkey and Cucumber-Yogurt Sauce

Amazing! I was looking for something to make with leftover rotisserie turkey and Tzatziki sauce I had bought from a Lebonnese family at my local farmer's market. What a perfect recipe! Thanks Pam!

Zesty Tuna Salad

Pretty good for a tuna salad. I toasted pita weges with chili powder on them and put the salad on top. I added more mayo and mustard though.

Salsa Biscuit Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2005
This was a great fast recipe. I used chicken thighs and shredded them after boiling. I used the flakey rolls in the can (all I had) and I had a lot of mixture left over too so I just a little on top of each one. It didn't matter when it bubbled out, it worked great! I served it on top of spicy mexi rice with jalapenos and put refried beans and sour cream on top! Excellent! My boyfriend said it was better than any thing at the popular mexican restaurant in town! Thanks Becke.

American Frittata

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
Very good. Five stars for me when I add a can of mushrooms (or fresh), cajun spice mix, and breakfast sausage instead of ham. But that's just my taste! The recipe itself is delicious!!! Thank you Jody for submitting it. I'll definitely make it again!

Cabbage Patch Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2005
This soup was very, very tastey. I added a lot of rice (I had some cooked leftover in the fridge that needed to be used). And instead of peas, a can of mixed veggies. I also added extra water to make up for the rice. Soooo yummy! Will for surely make again! Thank you Anne!

Sour Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2005
Well...these biscuits did not in any way turn out for me! I don't know what happened, but the dough was really sticky, then when I put them in the oven they immediately began to turn black-burned on the top. I checked on them and they were rising, but when I went to get them out, all that was there was a flat mess of burned dough. I have no idea what happened since I followed the recipe. I'll probably give them another go though.
