Grilled Chicken Wings with Sweet Red Chili and Peach Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2014
This glaze was WAY too sweet and not spicy enough. It's all personal preference with these things.

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
The recipe doesn't say how tightly to pack the cups of basil. I packed the measuring cup tight to the top with basil. The end result tasted like raw basil. I let it sit for a couple of days in the fridge and tried it again, adding some extra oil since it was so thick. The result was still too strong. Maybe I needed to pick more mature basil leaves and not pack it so much.

Original Chex® Party Mix

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2012
I agree with doubling the spices. I also add paprika, cayenne and most importantly I add 1/2 tsp Cajun Seasoning + more sprinkled while mixing. Gives it just the right amount of kick. I use Cheerios in place of bagel chips.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
Wow, finally something that both my 7 year old and 21 month old will eat! My husband went back for seconds too! I baked mushrooms, onions and green peppers for 20 mins at 450 degrees. I put the chicken in our other oven for 20 mins at 350 degrees and served all of it over rice with extra sauce that I warmed in the micro for 45 seconds. Came out perfect and super moist!

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
One of the few recipes that have lived up to the hype of the reviews! I will need to fine tune the spice level to our desired taste as it was too hot when made 5x as recommended by other reviewers.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
I was excited to make this after reading about it. I followed the directions perfectly except I didn't add the cheese or onion until the last 10 minutes. The chicken came out over-cooked and dry. The taste overall was bland. I don't understand how this has received so many stars or positive reviews.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
I made it just as written and it came out great. I used Pace Chunky Salsa (mild) and a little Tostitos Chunky Salsa (medium).

Three Cheese Baked Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
My entire family loved this recipe, even my picky 4 year old. It was easy to make and something that I'll make for friends when casserole type meals are needed (new baby, family in hospital, etc).

Grilled Salmon I

This was a good recipe but I still perfer the Maple-Soy Salmon recipe from this website better. I used Sockeye salmon for this recipe so I didn't skimp.

Maple-Soy Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I've tried quite a few salmon glaze/marinade type recipes from this website and without a doubt, this is the BEST one out there! (I even tried a recipe that had 1300 reviews with 5 stars and it couldn't touch this one). This recipe also makes a great presentation, better than the photo shown.

Joelle's Famous Hot Crab and Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2007
Didn't love this recipe. It would have been better with real crab. It's also a lot of work and the dip at Costco taste better.

Easy Hamantaschen

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
Loved this recipe. I made it twice it was so yummy. I suggest holding back a little on the flour because by the time you flour the surface you use to roll the dough...you will have added quite a bit more flour to the recipe and it makes it more difficult for the edges to stay pinched together. I also wouldn't refigerate the dough...I don't think the piched corners would stay together as well.

Scallops with White Wine Sauce I

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. We read the other reviews and took some ideas from them. I only used 3 tbsp of butter and added cayenne and minced garlic to the sauce. I wish I had made more!

I cannot believe all the good reviews this recipe received! We found that it overwhelming tasted like processed cheese and was very bland. Too bad because we love crab.

Flank Steak Pinwheels

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2005
After reading the reviews on this dish, I couldn't wait to try it. I was a little disappointed with it. I followed the directions perfectly and had purchased thinly sliced flank steak to use for the recipe. The steak was tender at first but as the meal continued, it became slightly tougher. The flavors were very strong which I normally like but it was a bit overwhelming and by the middle of the meal we felt we had enough. If I were to make the recipe again, I would choose a different cut of meat...perhaps new york strip thinly sliced.
