Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
well, my glaze was more akin 2 juice. but it's great juice! just wish it would stick to my ham! next time i will use less liquid and hopefully that will make it workout out. my ham was juicy though, not dried out. i made sure to flip the ham every hour so that each side sat in the juice. other than the very liquid like glaze, it was good. i will try again w/ less juice, maybe 1/2 cup and then update my review.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
this was wonderful and soooooooooo easy! i used 1c sugar and 1/2 c brn sugar and 16oz fresh cranberries. i also only used 1/2 oj and 1/2 water but think next time i will use more oj because i liked the way it cut the tartness of the cranberries. i also added a dash of cinnamon. yum!! be careful though cause this will boil over real quick! i went 2 get the remote to change the chanel and heard it boiling over right then! yummy! no more store bought for me!

Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
just made this and it came out great. i modified too to help w/ my diet. i omitted all white sugar and only used 1/2 cup brn sugar. i also used 4 very very ripe bananas to help add more sweetness. i left out butter and used 1 cup apple sauce. i added 1 tsp vanilla and cinnamon. i used crunchy peanut butter. i used 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup soy flour. i also used 2 cups protein powder. this is great!!! now i have a great use for my bananas that are too ripe for my protein shakes. thanks!! DELICIOUS!!

Macaroni and Cheese V

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
made this for father's day. it was a hit! I plan to make again this weekend for the 4th. I wasn't too sure about the onion but added it anyway and I'm soooo glad I did. what a wonderful taste and easy recipe. no grating for me though. I used about 36oz of pre-grated cheese. we are cheese lovers and it was great! thanks for a great recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Barbeque Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
it's a great recipe and easy too, but for me, i just didn't like the bacon on the shrimp. i will agree that it did make the moistest grilled shrimp i've ever cooked! i just had to unwrap mine before i could eat it. but, otherwise, great shrimp!!! i will make again even with the bacon and will just unwrap mine. you can't beat the moistest of these grilled shrimp!

Round Steak and Gravy II

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
yum!! i cooked this in a deep old time cast iron skillet. i seared it without oil on both sides with garlic, pepper, and seasoned salt, then added the soups, water, then added chopped onion, scallions, and threw in some sliced portobellas. baked it at 375 for 1.5 hrs with cast iron lid on and wow! great dish! it reminded me kinda of beef tips without all the flour and cornstarch and that other carb stuff! great dish! i will make again! oh, but i do suggest trimming all the fat as suggested by recipe. i made mistake of biting into a piece with some fat on it and it was not pleasant at all! lol! great dish otherwise!
