Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
This is really good! I think pecans or almonds are a bit better than walnuts. Right before I served the pizza a piled an herb salad mix on top and drizzled it with a litte olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
this is good chili--but sour cream and cheese are obviously both dairy products. recipe should be in an other section.

Lentil Stuffed Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2006
Good! You can pretty much add anything to this. Make sure to just cook the rice and lentils according to their package; brands vary their cooking times a lot so the recipe's instructions may not be suitable.

Great Green Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
I added a lot to the salad itself but the dressing is completely delicious exactly the way it is. I love it!

Spicy Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
I cut the ginger in half, added half a finely chopped red onion, and half a peeled and chopped cucumber. Once I added some red pepper and another time I added an avocado. This is a good recipe!

Grilled Salmon With Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
this is good and easy. I added some plain yogurt in place of some sour cream, and kosher salt is much better to use on the cucumbers--you want to get rid of liquid, not make them salty.

Cornish Game Hens with Rice Stuffing

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
This was great and pretty simple. I rinsed and salt/peppered my chickens before stuffing them and I added a little lemon and rosemary to the butter. I put raisins in the rice like another reviewer suggested and it was great! (I also basted chickens before the last half hour) Make sure to follow the instructions on the rice package--mine took way longer than the recipe said and the rice was a little chewy. Thanks for the recipe!

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
This was the worst asparagus dish I've ever made. It was soggy, overdone and lacked flavor. Look at all the other great asparagus recipes on this site before using this one!

Toad In a Hole

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
Such a great comfort recipe--my dad used to make it for me and called it "One-Eyed Eggs." I usually cook the bread with the egg on both sides, flipping it after a couple minutes. Also, if you find you are over-cooking the egg by waiting for the cheese to melt, try sprinkling a couple tablespoons of water on the frying pan (not too close to the bread!) and covering it for twenty or thirty seconds--the steam will melt the cheese pretty quickly.

Orange Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2006
Um, nice to meet you, Chris Dabis. Anyway, this recipe is really good and really really easy. Cut the oranges carefully and neatly because they look really good served at the end if they aren't messy-looking.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
This was JUST OK. I have made banana bread many times and will definitely go back to my old recipe. This recipe is very basic and there are better ones out there.

Olive Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2006
4.5 stars! Really good. I added some onion like another reviewer suggested, and I don't like green olives so I used sun-dried tomatoes instead. Really good!!

Boiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
This was so great and so easy! I added jalapenos and peppers for a little extra flavor and made enchiladas with the shredded chicken. I used a three-pound chicken and it was fully cooked after an hour so make sure you check it and don't cook it too long. Thanks for the recipe!

Bruschetta with Shallots

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I thought this was fresh-tasting, but really really boring. I added quite a bit more basil and some balsamic vinegar. Probably will look for a new recipe.

Risotto with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Mozzarella

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
I added some sauteed mushrooms, cut the cheese amount down by half, and needed about another cup of broth. Other than those changes, I thought it was a great recipe!

Better Than Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This was definitely tasty, but it needed something more. It is kind of bland. I will make it again but add more squash, and lots more spices. It's a good recipe, though, because it has all the basic stuff you need and you can be a little relaxed about the ingredients.

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
Totally delicious! I put in extra bacon and cooked the green onions a little before adding the milk. Also I gradually added an entire can of chicken broth to thin it out (I needed to add even more when I reheated it). Thanks for the recipe!

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
The salmon itself was a nice texture, but the top was just really soggy. I followed the recipe exactly--may try to make again but will have to change things around or figure out what i did wrong. Thanks anyway!
