Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
My boyfriend & I didn't care for this very much. We thought it was bland when made as written. This recipe has potental though. I gave it 3 stars since the other people we bar-b-qued with like it.

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
I doubled the recipe, but cut the brown sugar in half as others suggested. Cooked in the crock pot for a couple of hours without the lid so it wouldn't be so watery. I took them to a party so the crock pot was nice to keep them warm and easy to seve from. Everybody said they were great.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
I have already made this a bunch of times. It is wonderful. I don't put the parmesan on it. I put the parsley in the bag with the califlower and cook it all together for the 25 min. Its usally brown enough without broiling.

Made as written. A good change for cucumbers. Great as a side for sandwiches instead of potato chips.

Marinated Greek Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
Excellent. Served with greek style potatoes fron this site. I am not sure which we liked better the potatoes or chicken. Make sure not to over marinate the chicken or it will have a weird texture. Next time will try putting marinade in blender as another reviewer suggested. We will definetly be making again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I have made this many times. It turns out great every time, everyone loves it. I doule the sauce, put the leftovers in the freezer to use in stir fry combined with House of Tsang's spicy szechuan sauce.

Bloody Mary Steaks with Green Olive Butter

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Used a good quality bloody mary mix. Great sauce, but the butter was better. Instead of fanning out the steak left it whole and put the butter on top then served the sauce on the side. I doubled the butter mix, freezed it and used it later on garlic bread with another meal.

Tilapia with White Wine Caper Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Really, really good and easy. Only thing changed was adding more capers. I live 20 feet from the water and have fresh fish all the time, right off the hook. So I use whatever the fish of the day is. It taste great every time. Also if you like capers there is another great recipe on the site called "Caper Baked Chicken" it is quick and easy like this recipe.

Feta Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I really liked how the Jalapenos turned out w/ the marinade and cooking them in the oven. I will definetly keep that part of the recipe. I made half with just plain feta. It was okay. The other half I chopped up baby shrimp and mixed with feta. Those were really good.

Hungarian Pork Chops

We did not like the flavors in this. Maybe because I used cooking sherry instead of dry sherry.

Carrot and Raisin Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
This was okay. A little sweet. Flavor didn't do it for us. We have this great country style restraunt that serves a carrot raisin salad and were looking for something similar to theirs.

Corn and Avocado Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
I made this recipe exactly as written. It was great. I made it the night before then added the avacado right before serving. We served it on the side with grilled fish at a cook off and won first place. More people asked us for this recipe than the grilled fish. I am making it again this weekend for another bar-b-que to serve with a grilled jalapeno stuffed chicken recipe from this web site. Enjoy!

Potunas

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
If you are tired of tuna sandwiches or tuna caserole, this is a great change for canned tuna. I used a little bit more mayo, I think it depends on the size of the potatoes, and added Tony Chazery's for some spice. Very good.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
I had never cooked anything w/ paprika before, wow, this was really, really good. I only had thin chops, so I combined the bay leaf and 1 cup chicken stock in a pot and boiled covered for 30 min. Then I poured it over the chops and cooked for 30 min. After reading the reviews that the sauce was runny, I made sure I boiled the stock to a 1/4 cup. It came out perfect, very tender. I am going to try this with chicken using white wine for the stock. Thanks for the recipe.

Tara's Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
We don't really care for spaghetti sauce. We maybe eat it once a year if that, but this was really good. I have never bought jarred sauce before so picking one was a challegene. We like hot & spicy foods so we used hot picante sauce. I used spaghetti noodles insted of rice and shredded grilled chicken on top, instead of cooking it in the sauce. Now that I have this recipe maybe we will eat spaghetti more often. Enjoy.

Mother-in-Law's Chops

You have to really, really like ketchup to enjoy this one. I agree with some other reviewers that tomato sauce would be better. After making alot of changes, which I wouldn't be able to repeat again, it come out pretty good but nothing like the orginal recipe.
