Chinese Cold Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Loved this salad! After you boil your noodles, drain them and use the hot stock pot to melt down your peanut butter; then add the other sauce ingredients. It works perfectly, and there is no need to haul out the blender. Add your noodles and other ingredients into the pot and mix well before pouring into a serving bowl. I added some shredded carrots and cucumbers, too. Delicious!

Sun-Dried Tomato and Pesto Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2005
MOST EXCELLENT! This spread is so full of flavor that it's sinful! A little goes a long way, as well. I only made half the recipe to test it out, and I can't wait to make it for a party. AWESOME!

Baked Havarti Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
This dish was very good, however, it was a bit too salty. The next time I make it I will use unsalted butter and garlic powder instead of garlic salt. You can always add salt to taste, but you can't remove it once it has been added. The Havarti is slightly salty as well, so this could have added to the problem. Once these adjustments have been made, this will be perfect, and it's very easy to make as well.

Smoked Turkey Tortilla Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2005
What a fabulous lunch I'm having today! I made just one for myself, and it's delicious! The sun-dried tomato pesto and cream cheese really make this wrap. I used smoked deli turkey, swiss cheese, tomatoes, shredded romaine, and red onions. I wish I had made two! Thanks for this recipe!

Wedge Salad with Elegant Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
Excellent! I made this salad for four but, like others, cut the amount of blue cheese in half. I also did not use onions, substituted chopped tomatoes with grape tomatoes (that way, if you don't like tomatoes at all, you can just push them to the side), and I also added crumbled freshly-cooked bacon. My sister-in-law always orders this salad whenever it's on the menu of fine restaurants in Chicago, and she scarfed hers down saying "it was awesome"! Thanks for a winning recipe!

These cookies are AWESOME! They are sooooo easy to make and really good!! I used Myers Dark Rum, and I have to admit that I added a little more than called for in the recipe! What a punch! Thanks so much for this delicious recipe. I may even make them for Valentine's Day since they are so yummy! Try 'em!!!!!! Happy New Year 2008!

Tuna Salad With Fresh Dill

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
Excellent! This is a fresh-tasting tuna salad that is quite yummy. I used white albacore tuna and added a little lemon juice and a dash of garlic tabasco sauce. I also used regular mayo and sour cream, because that is what I had in the fridge. One note--it really only makes enough for two servings. Thanks for the delicous recipe!

Pecan Praline Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
You said it, Debbie! These are "simple, but out of this world!" You have to try this recipe, as you really won't believe how delicious these cookies are and how easy they are to make. After I poured the heated mixture over the graham crackers, I kept thinking that it would probably be a mess to clean after they are baked. Wrong! They popped right out of the pan with no mess or stickiness whatsoever. I sprinkled chocolate chips on half as one of the reviewers suggested, and they were delicious, but plain was just as good. This is a super recipe! Thank you!!!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
Absolutely delicious and way too easy! I used a boneless pork loin and cooked for 8 hours on low. I then drained the meat, shredded it, and put it back in the slow cooker with an 18 oz. bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's. I wish, however, that I had another bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's on hand to add a little extra to my sandwich to make it super sloppy! We used regular old hamburger buns with sesame seeds, and I served the sandwiches with potato chips and Restaurant-Style Coleslaw-I from this site. What a spectacular meal for a Sunday afternoon watching football! Thanks for the recipe--who would have known something so simple could be so outrageously yummy?!

Taco Salad II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
Delicious! I agree with others that you don't want to refrigerate this salad over night, as the lettuce and chips will obviously become soggy. I did, however, prepare the items separately the night before and simply threw them together the following evening for a quick dinner. I also made my own dressing. The only comment my husband made was to cut down a bit on the onion and peppers and to add a can of kidney beans. It's really worth trying!

Rump Roast Au Jus

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This is a really easy and delicious recipe. I took the advice of others and cut the spices in half. I also added a can of beef broth, a little wine, and a packet of onion soup mix. I cooked it for about 8 hours. It was perfect! I'll definitely be making it again. Served it with sweet potatoes and roasted vegetables. Yum!

Cucumber Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
I have yet to see anyone who doesn't love this appetizer. I spread the mixture onto cocktail rye, top with a slice of cucumber, and sprinkle with dill. They look wonderful on a platter and are so light and delicious. The spread itself is great as a dip for fresh veggies, too! Yum-yum!!! I think I'm going to have some right now!!!

Split Pea Soup with Tofu

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Really delicious and so healthy! I'm loving this for lunch at work and feeling great about the amount of sodium compared with most soups. You can add a little smoked paprika or hot sauce if you want to "kick it up" a little bit more, too. Who knew that tofu and spinach blended is so good! Thanks!

Big Al's Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2005
This is an excellent marinade for grilled chicken! I use olive oil, an actual beaten egg, and boneless chicken breasts, along with the other ingredients, thrown them in a plastic bag, and marinate overnight, The chicken is so moist and flavorful! The cider vinegar gives it a real tang. Thank you for a wonderful recipe!

Baked Onion Rings

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
The bread crumbs did not adhere to the onion rings very well; HOWEVER, even though they didn't look that great before baking, they did crisp up nicely and were pretty good. I used Vidalia onions, and even though I wasn't that happy with the whole process, I'll make them again, but try something different to get the bread crumbs to adhere.
