Ratatouille

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
I don't know, maybe I need to try this again but I wasn't impressed. I cooked it forever and it seemed like it needed cooked longer. It also seemed really bland and dry. I'm sure next when I put my own twist on things it will turn out better.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
This was my first attempt at zucchini bread. I thought it was delicious!! I got rave reviews- my SIL said it was better than her Mom's!!! The only thing I might change is using applesauce in place of some of the oil next time. It just bothered me knowing I used an entire cup of oil!!!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
My husband who is typically a picky eater really enjoyed this dish. I used fat free half and half instead of heavy cream as I didn't have any and because I'm trying to cook healthier for my family. This dish will be added to rotation.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Great, easy sugar cookie frosting. I am curious about another recipe here, but I've bought corn syrup for anything and didn't want to buy just for sugar cookie frosting. This is icing is perfect so I don't really see any point in trying another one!! hahaha

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I've had bad experience making pies in the past but this pie came out perfect. I wish I would have taken a picture- it looked award winning. It tasted even better. I made this months ago and now after thinking back, I'm drooling!!

Butterscotch Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
I was looking for a cookie that had apple in it and came across this. I wasn't sure how I would like it but it they are great. I did end up make a glaze because I didn't add the juice since my reviewers said it didn't need it. I will probably make these again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Very good- but of course I made some changes. I added carrots, peas and corn. I also tear the biscuits in to tiny pieces and brown in the oven before I add them to the mix since my husband likes them to have some crunchy. Otherwise they are really mushy. I've made it several times and it's always a hit.

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Pretty good. Hubby didn't like it as much as the pepperoni rolls I usually make. I think I should have added more cheese.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Pretty good. I usually make my pork chops the same old way but was looking for something different. Both hubby and 4 yr old gobbled them up. I will likely make them again.

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Maybe I did something wrong but I didn't care for this at all. I would like to try it again - if someone else made it, just to see if maybe I messed it up. I feel terrible giving only 3 stars since everyone else said they really enjoyed it =(

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
This is by far the best pie I've made!!! I altered it only a tad as my dad loves dutch apple so I changed the top crust to a crumb crust. I mixed the sauce with my apples before I adding the mixture to the bottle shell. My family didn't believe me that I made it from scratch. I will definetly be making this pie again. I was very proud of this pie!

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
These muffins are awesome! I had never made muffins from scratch before and was hoping that my first try would be a success. Everyone loved them! I have to add one thing though, I didn't realize until hours later that I had forgotten the egg!! After trying them, I don't think it made one bit of difference. I plan to make these again for my Christmas brunch.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: May 13, 2007
This recipe is great. I was worried that the crust wouldn't turn out, but I think it must be fool proof!! I made the recipe sugar free by using sugar free pudding, sugar free cool whip and sugar free chocolate syrup. It was a hit!!

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
I thought this was very good icing. I had never tried to make icing from scratch before as I always hated my mom's, so never attempted it. Everyone really liked it. Maybe it was just me, but I split up the icing to make different color cupcakes, and when I added the food coloring, it seemed to thin it out and I wish the icing stayed a little thicker. But it was awesome all the same!

Butterscotch Squares

Reviewed: May 1, 2007
I really don't like them. My husband seems to think that if I dipped them in chocolate it would taste like a whatchamacallit candy bar. The butter seperated from the rest and made them all greasy on the bottom. I also didn't think they were sweet at all. Maybe I added too much cereal, but it looked entirely too wet (the seperated butter) that I didn't think they would set up. I don't think I will try this again, sorry.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: May 1, 2007
It was good, but I thought it need more egg. I had even added an extra egg but my husband agreed that it could have used more. Not only that, the sausage overpowered everything else, hence, the need more egg. I will try it again, but probably tweak it a little.
