Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
Wow! I really enjoyed this soup! I sauteed a clove of minced garlic with the onions, used Yukon Golds, and substituted evaporated milk for the cream, and it turned out great. The cayenne pepper really adds a kick. I also garnished the soup with shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and green onion for a "loaded" cheese potato soup. The only think I'll do differently next time is leave bigger potato chunks when pureeing the soup.

Cornbread Muffins I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
These muffins were pretty good. I mixed them for too long, so they were kind of dense and did not have crumbly tops.

Chicken and Asparagus Fettuccine

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
Quick, easy, and delicious! I think this recipe would also work well with broccoli.

Mom's Best Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
Although these waffles were very easy to make and a good substitute for the quick mix kind, my family didn't think they were anything special. Although I added 1 tsp of vanilla, they were still pretty bland and chewy.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
This was a great and easy recipe. However, it was on the spicy side, but that was my fault. I used southwestern seasoning on the chicken and accidently used "hot" enchilada sauce.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2005
I made this in an electric skillet. It turned out pretty good, just a little too salty for my taste buds.

Peanut Butter Balls IV

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2005
I've made these several times and they are always devoured! However, I have never used the maple extract (I just double the vanilla) and prefer milk chocolate over semi-sweet. I think they taste just like Reese Cups.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
I made these for a family dinner and everyone thought they were great, and I found them easy to make. I'm only giving the recipe 4 stars because I personally found the mushrooms a little lacking in flavor. Next time I will add more seasoning. As other reviews have noted, the cream cheese mixture definately is enough for more than 12 mushrooms.

Salmon with Dill

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2005
Made this for Father's Day and it was great! Rather than heat up the kitchen, we grilled out, used fresh dill, and added fresh lemon juice.

Classic Greek Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2005
Made this recipe for my dad for Father's Day. He's picky about greek salad, but he and everyone else really enjoyed it. However, I did cheat and use Ken's Steakhouse Greek Dressing.
