Banana Banana Bread

This makes a very moist, almost crumbly banana breade. I always mash the bananas in the blender resulting in a puree which makes the cake even more moist. I also reduced the quantity of sugar to 1/2 cup and used both white and brown. I also added a tsp each of nutmeg and cinnamon powders. The result a very tasty, spicy banana bread!

Lemon Sauce I

Extremely easy and tasty. I used 3 limes instead of lemons. I also added a pinch of cinnamon instead of nutmeg as I was using the sauce with a pineapple upside down cake which was cinnamony.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Extremely easy to make and extremely tasty. I put all the dry ingredients in a bowl, made a well in the centre and poured the wet ingredients in. Was mixed in a jiff without using too many implements. I used Hershey's dark choc powder and though only a quarter of cup was used, the cake was dark and beautifully moist. It made 6 reg cupcakes and 12 mini cupcakes. Will definitely make again, especially for people with milk/egg allergies.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

This is the same recipe as in my Taste of Home cookbook. This hardly tastes like zucchini. Is wonderful bread. Def make again. Grating the zucchini is the only time consuming bit. I might try and whiz it in the mixie the next time. Save the water.. thta is what makes it tasty and healthy

Cinnamon Bars

Oatmeal Apple Muffins

I loved this recipe. It took more preparation cooking than regular baking, but the end result was tasty and healthy. Will definitely make again. I used milk instead of half and half, and used quarter cup whole wheat flour and three quarters plain flour. Maybe next time I will try half cup each. I only had oats which I powdered fine to make oatmeal. It smells wonderful when baking and tastes better.

Aunt B's Peanut Butter Muffins

I used less sugar - half cup and only 2 tsp of baking powder. 1tbsp seemed a tad too much and I didnt want to have a strong baking powder taste. Good, light muffins, but a kind of bland. I would want a stronger peanut butter taste. Next time I will probably double the amount of peanut butter.

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Absolutely delicious. Used 1 cup milk with a tablespoon of viniger instead of buttermilk. Added a heaped tsp of cornflour to thicken it up after reading the reviews. This will definitely be a staple in my house. Need to find some time to make pancakes in the mornings now!

Honeyed Pork Chops

It is a good recipe. Hassle free. I made a paste of 1 onion with the rest of the ingredients and spread it on the chops after browning it for 3 minutes each. I did add a splash of sweet chili sauce, but it wasnt hot enough for me.. would add more hotter sauce the next time. I was out of ginger so I used roasted garlic flakes. It was good.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Amazingly good. I scaled it down for4 people. I used 1 1/2 cups of milk, and 1 packet (1 cup) of cream and two eggs. Followed the process. Really good. I was craving for it for days after..
