About this Cook
I learned to cook from my amazing mom who raised 6 kids, cared for our dad who died when we were all children. I honor her with my skills.
My favorite things to cook
I love baked goods-based on my saved recipes! I would prefer to make a pie more than any other food item. That's because I'd love to eat it more than any other food! I live for chocolate and in recent years have shunned meat then added poultry so now am a devout pescetarian. I did this for humane reasons, watched my cholesterol plummet by almost half, and haven't missed meat since (okay, except for Ted's Hot Dogs when I go home.)
My favorite family cooking traditions
All baking, all the time!
My cooking triumphs
Allegedly my husband decided he wanted to marry me after tasting my lasagna and meatloaf with the secret sauce on top (Ketchup). And now I'm a pescetarian. Who knew?
My cooking tragedies
I once was carrying a homemade pie in for a guest when I was a little kid. Boom-all over the garage floor. I was very embarrassed-and sad that we couldn't eat it!

Honey Mustard Dressing II
Look no further. I was out of good salad dressing so I gave this a try. I served it over arugula topped with tuna salad mixed with capers. Outstanding-thanks so much for sharing your wonderful recipe!

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes
Awesome-so glad these were featured on the site. I made it exactly as written (my bread crumbs were seasoned panko-no problem.) My son took one bite and was really surprised at how delicious they were-definitely a keeper!!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers
These were very easy but I agree that there's a little too much cumin. Some wanted more egg but I found them wet enough. SAve time and throw the whole thing in the food processor!
