My cooking tragedies
I spent hours making a 3 layer chocolate coconut cake which ended up sliding off of my baking sheet and onto the floor. I have burned plenty of things, set fire to more than one cookbook (and a handtowel), experimented in awful ways, but always try to learn from my mistakes and try, try again!

Sour Cream Marinated Chicken I
The recipe in and of itself is not good, but omit the vinegar completely and you have a winner! I made this chicken last night, and before I added the vinegar to the marinade I tasted (hint hint) what I was mixing. Finding it very tasty, I left it at that. The vinegar would've ruined the whole thing. So, 5 stars for the recipe without the vinegar, 2 stars for what could have happened if I didn't know what I was doing.

Barbequed Thai Style Chicken
I recently made this for my boyfriend and I who LOVE Thai food and it was a hit. I substituted soy sauce for the fish sauce because I didn't have any on hand, and also used the entire can of coconut milk because I didn't feel like it had a strong enough flavor. I also don't have a grill so I just poured the sauce over the chicken and baked it in the oven. The result was seriously amazing tasted just like the chicken satay at our favorite restaurant. The only regret I have is that I didn't reserve some of the sauce to use as a dip!

Grilled Chicken Salad with Seasonal Fruit
This is very similar to one of my favorite salads that they serve at a local restaurant. The recipe tasted almost exactly the same except I wouldn't have added as much vegetable oil to the tasted too much like it. Strawberries are my favorite in it and I always add chicken.
