I'm just a small town gal who loved to bake and hated to cook a meal that got married and now loves both! I'm a baker at heart. I love to fuss with fancy cakes and cupcakes. My kids think it's super at birthday times! They have some of the coolest cakes I've ever seen! But, if it's got cream cheese in it, I've probably made it! I was raised on my grandparents farm so there was lots of cooking and baking going on. I learned from a very young age about baking and cooking from my grandma. I took 8 weeks of cake decorating classes. I used to decorate cakes at a Dairy Queen and I loved that part of my job!! I still love decorating cakes. The best thing I ever did was freehand a lizard on a cake from a picture that the lady gave us....it was really neat! When we were married, my parents got us a gas grill. I'd never used one before, and didn't read the instructions that you were supposed to turn the gas on before the burners and I did it in reverse. It took HOURS AND HOURS to get a few chicken wings done and the flame was really low. It wouldn't have been so bad except that I had a house full of company waiting for dinner. YIKES! My father-in-law still hasn't let me forget it!
