Super Sausage Gravy

my secret~ I added a little kick to the recipe by adding some minced garlic, chopped onion and red pepper flakes to the store brand sausage during browning. Makes for the best sausage gravy ever! you wont want to go back to the plain black pepper gravy again.

Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Crabmeat

pounded the chicken flat between plastic wrap, put dollop of filling in center and rolled up the chicken and secured with toothpick. brushed outside with olive oil and baked 350 for 1/2 hr. turned out great and topped with dill sprig for a nice presentation.

Biscuit-Topped Creamed Ham

Gave this recipe 4 stars because it is a good start and after you use your imagination, it can be fantastic. was a bit plain for our tastes at first. I doubled the milk/flour recipe, added only 1 can of soup, added can of corn and a can of green chiles. added half a bag of frozen diced potatoes and peppers. added some creole seasoning because it really needs more flavor. added minced garlic to the biscuit recipe and dropped them by teaspoonfulls on top of the creamed ham mixture instead of making large biscuits. turned out wonderful and reheats excellent in the microwave the next day.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS~!!! ADD 1 pkg. ortega taco season(smoky chipotle flavor) to ground beef after browned. CHIPOTLE FLAVOR TACO SEASON NOT REGULAR. the chipotle flavor is much different from regular taco season. instead of 2 cans tomato soup, use 1 can tomato and one can campbells southwest style pepper jack. AWESOME FLAVOR!!

New Orleans Barbequed Shrimp

I have been making this recipe for a year now. ingredients sound a bit different but ya gotta give this a try. the sauce it makes is wonderful and addicting. my Husband asks for this almost every weekend. make sure you have the crusty bread for dippin in this great sauce!

excellent recipe. wonderful flavor. made several batches. wrapped in foil, then placed inside ziplock bag. these kept well in the refrigerator and were very moist almost a week later.

Audry's Shrimp Stew

very good recipe. made a dark roux which did take an hour of constant stirring over low heat. was my first roux and turned out excellent! i did add garlic and red pepper flakes as another suggested. i used chicken broth in place of the water for more flavor. boiled all for 30 minutes then added the shrimp and peppers the last 10 minutes. shrimp turned out perfect and not overcooked that way. did have to thicken with cornstartch/water mix at the end. served over white rice. excellent meal which hubby loved as well. will make again. thanks for a great recipe!

Very Special Spaghetti Sauce

we love this recipe and i usually cook with the wine, it does add a special flavor. for those who dont like the wine, you can substitute 2 TBS of balsamic vinegar for each half cup of wine.

Main Dish Macaroni Salad

VERY GOOD. i omitted the tomato, added 1/4 cup each of finely chopped red and yellow peppers. added diced pepperoni, quartered black olives and at the very end i added 1/2 cup of shredded colby cheese. had to add extra 2 TBS of milk the second day fo refresh.

Alligator Fingers

very good recipe. I marinated mine in buttermilk and it turned out well. if you dont have buttermilk, you can use 1 cup milk with 1 TBS of lemon juice or vinegar, let sit 10 minutes. alligator is really very good but it does NOT taste like chicken.

Charleston Shrimp 'n' Gravy

Very good recipe. Hubby liked it lots. we added cajun seasoning for flavor. we put it over fettucini noodles, we both agree it would be better over rice. I doubled the sauce but now feel that was not necessary as it spread the shrimp too thin. overall, very good
