Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
I followed this recipe exactly and it's a delicious way to make chicken thighs! Very flavorful. The only thing that I'll do differently next time is line my baking dish with foil as the sugar/teriyaki burns a bit on the dish.

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly and it came out great! The only thing that I'd change next time is that I'll shred the chicken instead of dicing it. It reminded me more of chicken tortilla soup than a chili but definitely something that I'll make again.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly and loved it! I've never made chicken and dumplings and was worried that the recipe is too basic (bland) but it was delicious. Sometimes simple recipes produce yummy results!

Southwestern Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
Very yummy & healthy! We didn't have adobo or feta on hand but will try that next time. I didn't use all of the lime juice that it called for, I added it last to taste. We love quinoa and will definitely be making this easy recipe again.

Easy Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Made this EXACTLY as written, very good, and very easy to make! Made one large quiche as written, it only took 42 minutes vs. the 50 minutes listed in the recipe, probably depends on the quiche dish that you are using. Will make again.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I made this recipe exactly as written and did not care for it. I know that black bean soups can be more bland, but this is lacking depth of flavor. I added cumin and hot sauce but it's still pretty bland for my taste, even a day later. First recipe on this site that I haven't liked. Not terrible, but will not make again.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Exceptionally easy and tasty Au Gratin Pototoes recipe! I will never buy the box mix again. This is wholesome ingredients and so simple to make. The only change that I made was using minced onion because I don't like onion chunks. A great side dish.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
Very good raspberry cookie bar recipe! I added a small amount of applesauce to the recipe to make sure they wouldn't get dry, and baked them in a glass 13x9 pan (doubled recipe). They turned out great! I will make again.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
Soft, yummy PB cookies! Easy to make. I used half unsalted butter and the other half salted. I made these with no nuts and they are still very good.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
This is an excellent, easy recipe. I love macaroons and this is one of the best I've tried. It was my first time making macarooons and these turned out perfectly. It helps to chill the dough for a short time, but I like to not have perfectly rounded macaroons so that the coconut toasts more during baking. Friends loved these! I made some dipped in semi-sweet chocolate.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
I substituted cream of chicken instead of using the mushroom soup and it turned out perfectly! (Although I think the mushroom soup would have tasted good as well) These are fairly mild which is what my husband and I both like, but you could add some heat by adding hotter chiles or jalepenos. I also made these in the crockpot which was an easy premade dinner, along with some spanish rice and salad and it was a great meal!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
Update: This can be a 5 star chili recipe with a few changes. The second time that I made this I added 2 cloves crushed garlic, instead of tomato sauce I used a 15 oz. can of diced tomatoes, and added 1 additional can of (black) beans. These small changes really helped, now it's a favorite! ________________ Previous review: This chili was okay, not great. The chili powder overwhelmed the entire chili and didn't add much "depth" to the flavor. I cooked it in the slow cooker and it wasn't any better the next day. It seemed to lack a balance of spices. Maybe incorporating garlic?

Hot Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
Quick and easy to make, great with tofu and stir fry veggies! It was a tad too thick so I'd add a little more water the next time.

Cold Szechuan Noodles and Shredded Vegetables

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2005
Did not care for this and will probably throw most of it away. I made it for my husband and I last night, followed the recipe exactly with all of the correct ingredients. I was also looking for a tasty cold Chinese noodle salad, this wasn't it for us. Didn't care for the sauce.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
I've made this dish twice now and it has turned out great both times. Our family and friends love it and it is an easy recipe to follow. The pecans on top of the honey dijon coating adds just the right flavor to salmon. One of the best recipes I have!
