Chocolate Revel Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Growing up, my mom made these all the time. So whenever I get a little homesick this is what I make. I find that if I bake the crust for about 15 minutes alone before adding the chocolate it cooks better without being too mushy. Also, with this recipe you can really make the filling fun by adding Peanut Butter, mint chocolate chips, butterscotch, anything really. Very yummy!

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
This was absolutely amazing! I made homemade cream cheese frosting and let me put it this way, I made a large pan and a small pan and it was gone within two days. My family couldn't stay away from it. I can't wait to make it again!

Alfredo Light

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
I gave this 3 stars because my kids and my husband liked it. It was okay for me. I don't think I would consider this an Alfredo sauce by any means. It was more like a gravy. It was good, but if your looking for alfredo, this isn't your recipe. I felt good eating it because it is lower in fat and will probably make again considering my family enjoyed it, and my son didn't say "this is discusting" like he usually does if it isn't full of sugar however it wasn't my favorite. I would almost rather consume the calories of regular alfredo sauces.

Seven Layer Magic Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
My mom used to make these all the time when I was a child. I LOVE THEM! I unfortuately live in a country where they don't have graham crackers, imagine that!!! Anyway, I winged it a bit. I use some coconut cookies crushed with butter for the crust, then omit the peanuts and use the chips as described, they turned out great. A treat my kids and hubby love! The coconut cookies actually added a very nice touch.

Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
I live in a country where you can't find the Alfredo sauce in a jar, and since my family loves it so much I had to find a recipe to make it myself. I think this recipe is awesome. The only thing I do differently is take out the red pepper and zuccini and add broccoli. My kids won't eat it otherwise. I also add freshly grated parmesean to the sauce and on top. YUMMY!

Chocolate Oatmeal Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
My mom made these all the time growing up, and they are my favorite however the recipe here is a little off. Use Sweetened and Condensed milk not evaporated milk. Also, save some of the crust to sprinkle on the top and bake the crust for about 15 minutes before adding the rest to it, that makes it more of a bar base and not so mushy!

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
This was pretty good actually! I really like the taste of the sauce. I too blended it in the blender and I also added some Cayenne, because we like it really spicey! I will probably make this again! I used small ribs so I only cooked for an hour, they were nice and tender!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
I don't understand what all of the fuss was about with these. I love just about anything with pumpkin but these had no flavor. Very bland and didn't cook well at all. I even added extra spices and sugar to give it some flavor. It didn't help. I won't make this again!
