Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
Delicious! I've made lots of briskets, but I've never made a post roast before. I had a 3 pound chuck roast and looked at a lot of recipes before deciding on this one. I used small gold potatoes instead of red, and I added a large onion and a few stalks of celery. I browned the meat first in some flour with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. I thought about adding a can of beef broth because I didn't think the soup would be enough, but I'm glad I didn't. It was so good, I don't think I'll look any further to replace this recipe. I'll definitely make it again!

Quick Chick!

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2012
This was eh. I put carrots and onions in the bottom of the crock under the chicken. Added the seasoning, gravy, and soy sauce. I also added a splash of Worcestershire sauce. The chicken came out tender and moist, but the gravy was really watery and we felt like it was just missing something. Maybe if I'd served it over mashed potatoes or something...we will eat the leftovers but I won't make this again.

Wicked Garlic Tofu Saute

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
I've never used oyster sauce before and I don't eat fish. I smelled the sauce when i first opened it and almost didn't use it. I cooked the tofu as directed, then cooked a chopped onion and a bag of frozen broccoli in a cup of chicken broth and the oyster sauce. I'd hoped to have enough sauce left over to thicken up, but there wasn't much. When I served it, the oyster sauce was a little to strong for us. I added a splash of soy sauce and it was perfect. Next time I'll use more chicken broth and add the soy sauce up front, and thicken the sauce with cornstarch. I will make it again. Served over white rice.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
Ok, I don't like pancakes. I've never liked pancakes. I wanted to make pancakes for DH's birthday, I got these new Star Wars pancake molds from Williams Sonoma as part of his present. I was a little scared of the "soured" milk at first but I decided to try it after reading the reviews...and I am SO glad I did! It was the perfect consistancy for the molds, they were light and fluffy and had a lot of flavor! I had some leftovers for breakfast this morning, I put some margarine on them in the container, brought them to work and put them in the microwave for a minute, the the margarine melted while they heated up. Delicious! DH is excited because I'll make pancakes whenever he wants now!

Normal Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I followed some revewers and added a tbs of rice wine vinegar and some brown sugar (didn't measure). I put the chicken in the pan on some chopped onions. I served it with white rice and broccoli. I thought it was just ok but DH loved it. I thought it would have been better with more brown sugar (should have measured it), and I wished I'd put the onions on top of the chicken instead of under it. DH will have the leftovers for lunch.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
This was really good, and the leftovers were even better! I used freshly grated ginger...a little too much ginger for my tastes, but it was still really good. Reheated the next day, the ginger really mellowed and the apple tasted much stronger. I think this would have been great without any ginger at all, but if you like ginger, you'll love it. I used no salt added applesauce instead of the cinnamon. I had a little trouble with the oven bag for the first time...and since there were slits cut, the sauce leaked out into the pan. Next time I'll just put foil over the dish. Will definately make again.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
I paired this with "Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts" from this site. This was the best alfredo sauce I've tasted! I forgot to add the parsley, but it didn't taste like it was missing anything!

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
This turned out incredible! I had some heavy cream I wanted to finish so I made "Alfredo Sauce" (Rebecca Swift) from this site instead of the spaghetti sauce. From reading the reviews, I knew that there would be extra stuffing, so I filled some pasta shells, topped them with the alfredo sauce, covered with tin foil and baked at the same time for 45 minutes. In the stuffing, I doubled the garlic and added some italian seasoning. I waited to sprinkle the extra mozzarella until the last 5 minutes. My husband said that this was the best thing I've ever made! I did have a little trouble cutting the chicken for the stuffing; I didn't want to use the toothpicks so I used a method from another reviewer (CHEFBAUER) of cutting down into the thickest part, then running the knife from side to side. I'm sure it will be easier next time.

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
This is the first meatloaf I've ever had, and it was wonderful. I used flavored breadcrumbs, omitted the minced onion, and added 2 packages of Onion Soup Mix. Instead of forming the jelly roll, I just mixed everything together and formed a loaf. I will make this recipe over and over again!

Broccoli Potato Soup

This was a great easy soup to make. I doubled it, I substituted the onion for onion powder and added 2 cups of cheese instead. Will definitely make again.

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
Very good, although a little bland. I used whole wheat macaroni, traded one cream of chicken for a cream of mushroom, added frozen broccoli, omitted the can of mushrooms, and added onion powder instead of the onion. I covered it with tin foil while cooking until the last 10 minutes and stirred halfway, and the pasta turned out perfectly. Will definitely make again.

Baked Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
Followed another reviewer's suggestion to use breadcrumbs, it was great! I coated the chicken with the pesto then in Italian breadcrumbs. I didn't have any tomatoes, so I added the mozzarella cheese directly onto the breading. The pesto taste was not overpowering at all and the chicken was moist. Will make again.

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
With a couple modifications next time I make it, this will be a 5 star recipe for my family. I will halve the bredding as I had so much remaining. Too much pepper for my taste. The chicken was very tender and flavorful.
