No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
These are awesome but I add a little more cocoa than the recipe calls for. They are devoured at family gatherings and are always requested to be made year round from family. I do boil mine longer than the one minute it calls for. A great way to check them to see if they are done is the old school trick you do with fudge, by dropping a tiny amount of the liquid into cold water. If it splatters, that means it needs to cook longer but if it turns into a "ball", it is done. Easy, yummy cookies.

Boneless Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This recipe is amazing. Had to make double the amount of dry mix as called for, but wow. The kids, hubby, and me all loved them. Wouldn't change a thing!

Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
Fantastic!! Only made 2 minor changes. First I used smoked sausage instead of Italian, and cooked the green peppers separately as not everyone here likes them. Easy and made a huge pot. Fed 4 of us easily with some not finishing their plates. Cheap and easy. Definitely a keeper!

Cheesy Italian Pull Apart Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
I made 2 pans of these tonight. First pan was made in a glass one and cooked perfectly. Second was in a dark metal pan and they all burnt on the bottoms. Both were cooked the same amount of time (15 min.). Will definitely be making them again, but only in my glass pan. Fantastic recipe.

Berdean's Cube Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
Holy lamas. Made this tonight and served it over rice and stir fry veggies for those of us that eat them. Hubby's review..."Best Ever".. I did use 4 bullion cubes and baked at 325 in my iron skillet covered for 2 hours instead of leaving it on the stove. These were fall apart, cut with a fork tender. Found my new way of making them. Freaking epic good!!

Fried Broccoli

Awesome! Only thing I changed was I used fresh broccoli (what I had on hand). Can't wait to try it with the frozen too.

Chef John's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
This is the first time I've ever made banana bread and wow so easy and so good! Made them into muffins instead of bread and ended up with 17 regular sized ones. Definitely a keeper!

Grandma's Noodles II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Easy and sooo good. Used them for a pot of chicken noodle soup. Even with making 3 batches of the noodles for it there were no leftovers between just 4 of us. Will make this over and over.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
Easy supper for a lazy day. Used a boston butt instead of tenderloin (way cheaper). Tossed it in the crock pot with the root beer and forgot about it until that night. Shredded/ drained it and added the BBQ sauce. After lunch today will make 3 meals for my family of 4 already from this. Thanks for the easy mode supper. Will use again.

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
We ended up using the cole slaw mix, doubled the spices, used minced garlic instead of garlic powder, and skipped the flour mix to seal them. Water by itself works just fine. My Chinese food hating hubby ate 4 of these and asked me to start making them regularly. My only problem was how greasy they were but after research figured out what I did wrong. If the oil temp drops to much when you place them in to cook that happens. Delish!

Yummy! Added a few extra veggies (green beans, corn, and peas) and it was fantastic. Our family of 4 ate every last drop!

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
Made these with a girl I was babysitting..OMG good and so easy! Don't have a sifter so instead whisked the dry ingredients together before adding them. They didn't turn out chewy for me, but more soft cookie like but that's probably the pan I used (9 in. heart shaped). Definitely will make these over and over.

Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2014
So easy. Before I made these I asked everyone I know if they had heard of them. Nobody had so I decided I had to try making them. Glad I did! Completely fool proof recipe. Cut the recipe in half but other than that didn't change anything. They rose beautifully and were so moist. Definitely will be making these lots more in the future.

Classic Hash Browns

I have tried making home made hash browns before but they always had an odd taste. After reading through the directions and rinsing them with cold water..wow what a difference. Everyone gobbled them up!

Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
First time ever making potato soup and it was a HUGE hit. Everyone ages 5-36 loved it. Only thing I did different was left out the onion (none of us are huge fans of them..), and cut up 5 potatoes and boiled them until softened before adding the mashed potatoes so it would go farther and be more filling. Was nice having such a light yet filling meal combined. Will be making this over and over! Thanks for sharing this one!

Quick Yeast Rolls

I've used this recipe twice so far but instead of making rolls out of it I've been making it in loaf pans. Easy and delish. The whole family can't stop eating it until it's gone. Thanks for the great recipe.

Mini Cheesecakes

Easy and sooo good. Made these once on a trial run at home, (all were ate very quickly) and again for a family reunion. These were gone before anything else there with everyone raving asking how to make them. Loved that they are made as individual servings. Will use this over and over.

The idea is so cute! Put them in my egg tray and filled the bottom of it with olives and cherry tomatoes for fun, easy snacks. Thanks for the great idea :)
