Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
The whole family liked these carrots! Could probably cut down on the brown sugar to make it a little healthier and it would be just as good. The only changes I made were I added 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. Very tasty and easy to make!

Best Baked Chicken

Super yummy. Did not have soy sauce on hand so I used worcestershire sauce instead and skipped the spices. The whole family liked it!

Chicken and Pasta in a Mango Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
So yummy! Added cayenne pepper as suggested by a number of viewers and I think that's what made it so yummy- a little sweet from the mango and a little spicy from the cayenne. Can't wait to make it again!

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
This dish was super yummy! My breading did not stay on very well, but it didn't matter, it was still super yummy. The only changes I made (as suggested by others) were to use some sesame oil in addition to the olive oil and to only use 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to 1 tablespoon water. And I used ground ginger because I could not find fresh ginger root in the store. This one's a keeper!

Simple Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
We all loved this lasagna! The only changes I made were; I used 4 oz. of the cheese in the filling and 4 oz. for the top (which I waited to put on until the last 10 minutes), I added a package of mushrooms and sauteed them with the other veggies and I used a 9 oz. bag of fresh baby spinach. Super yummy. Highly recommend.

Marinated Ranch Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
Like most of the previous reviews, I was amazed at how easy and GOOD this recipe was! Followed ingredients to a T... baked at 350 for 20-25 minutes then set the oven on Broil and broiled for 10 minutes, or until the top starts to get brown and bubbly. Highly recommend. Enjoyed with rice and veggie- simple, simple!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
This was my very first attemp at cooking salmon and we all loved it! Even the three year old! I used a lot of other people's recommendations; only used 2 tbsp. oil and added 1 tbsp. melted butter, used half the basil, salt and pepper, used 2 tbsp. lemon juice and I used fresh cilantro instead of parsley just because we really like cilantro! Yummy! Will make again.

Pistachio Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Very yummy! Didn't change a thing and it came out super yummy! Made the raspberry dipping sauce to go with it, as others recommended, but actually used strawberry jam- couldn't find seedless raspberry. The dipping sauce really added to it! Will make it again! Thanks!

Frog Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
These turned out cute! They were fun to make and pretty easy too! The only change I made was I used the peel licorice to make a red mouth. Make sure you put a little more batter in the muffin cups than usual so you have a nice round surface to make your frog on! Very cute idea- big hit with everyone! I made them for "Leap Day" 2-29-2008. I look forward to making them again...in four years! :)

Gingerbread Men

So yummy- with or without frosting on top! Doubled the spices and added 1/2 tsp. nutmeg. Baked for 8-9 minutes. Great recipe. Fun with the kids! Will make again next year! Merry Christmas!

Gingerbread Frosting for Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
Great recipe! Was a great addition to our Gingerbread Men cookie recipe. Added a little more powdered sugar to make it a little thicker so it would stay on the cookies, but other than that, followed the recipe exactly. Turned out brown, but looked great on the gingerbread cookies with candies and sprinkles on top! Merry Christmas!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
Very yummy! Mixed milk with 8 oz. cream cheese to make a whipped topping instead of cream cheese globs- worked out nicely- no need for 16 oz. of cream cheese! As per other's recommendations...doubled the amount of blueberries, used 10 eggs, and added 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. The middle came out gooey (but not undercooked) may try baking for longer next time. Great recipe. Nice that you make it the night before! Syrup is AWESOME! Would be great to make for just ordinary pancakes too! Merry Christmas!

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Woo-wee! These were AWESOME! Best sweet potato recipe we've ever had!! Might try cutting down on the amount of sugar next time- 2 cups seems like an awful lot...but worth it! Merry Christmas!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
This is SO good! When I arrived home from the grocery store one of my large avocados had busted at the seems, so I decided to look up a guacamole recipe on here. With almost 2 thousand reviews I just had to try this one. I am so glad I did! I ate the entire bowl with tortilla chips for lunch!! The only changes I made were I used onion powder and garlic powder because it was faster and easier. So good! Thanks!

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
These are awesome! My 3 boys couldn't stop saying YUM! I followed the recipe to a T, but found that I need to add about 1/4 cup more water to the dough and friends recommended a pinch of salt for the dough. I made some with no salt, some with coarse salt and (the best!) some with butter and cinnamon sugar mixture. The last batch tasted JUST like pretzels from the mall! I couldn't believe it! I ended up cooking the cinnamon/sugar pretzel (sticks) at 400 degrees for only 6 minutes. Delicious!!

Picnic Chicken Pitas

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This was so yummy! I used fresh broccoli, added 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 1 tablespoon honey, an used canned tomatoes with chilis, to add some zip to it. Although the bacon was good, I think it would be just as good, if not better, without it. Very tasty recipe!

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
The whole family loved this dish! I skipped the oven step though- Just served it in individual bowls with shredded cheese on top. Skipped the chips- didn't have any. Would be super yummy with a plop of guacamole and/or sour cream on top, served over rice. Tastes a little bit like a burrito bowl from Chipotle. Yummy!
