Guacamole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
This is SO good! When I arrived home from the grocery store one of my large avocados had busted at the seems, so I decided to look up a guacamole recipe on here. With almost 2 thousand reviews I just had to try this one. I am so glad I did! I ate the entire bowl with tortilla chips for lunch!! The only changes I made were I used onion powder and garlic powder because it was faster and easier. So good! Thanks!

Honey Milk Tea - Hong Kong Style

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
I really enjoyed this drink. I used sweetened condensed milk, but am anxious to try with regular milk, as suggested by other reviewers. I used black tea bags as opposed to orange pekoe tea bags, as that's all I had!

Naan

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
This turned out AWESOME! My friend, who is from India, asked me for the recipe!! I used the griddle on high (as opposed to the grill) and it worked just great. Waited for it to bubble, then flipped it. Made a melted butter/garlic powder mixture to spread on bread before flipping. Yummy! I highly recommend this recipe!

My Kid's Favorite Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
This is the first time I have ever made a recipe off of this site that had no reviews. I am so happy I did! It was YUMMY! Thanks for a great recipe. Next time I will try to substitute applesauce for 1/2 of the oil and see how it turns out. All the kids loved it! :)

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
These sloppy joes were very tatsy, but they have more of a sweet base rather than tomato. Only change I made was to add Worcestershire sauce.

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
These are SO good! And they make super yummy hamburger buns! Even yummier leftover in the morning, toasted with butter and jam. Can't wait to make more! Did not have a biscuit cutter- used the top of a drinking glass! Skipped the last 2 tablespoons of butter too- didn't think it needed it! :) Highly recommend!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
This was good, but not great. Even with the addition of brown sugar, which about half the reviews suggest to add, it was not wonderful. I enjoyed it, but none of the three kids cared for it.

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
Great dish! Made as is, only I had to use canned tomatoes, regular artichoke hearts and dried parsley. Only used 1/2 a bag of pasta after reading many reviews. Oh, and added some olives. Yummy...thanks!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Yummy soup! The only change that I made (only because I did not have the original ingredients) is; I used canned tomoatoes, dried basil, and cheese tortellini. Everyone loved this soup!

Avocado Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
I loved this! I thought it was fun, unique and refreshing. Other people thought it was just odd, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. If you're on the fence about making it, I'd give it a shot...something different! :) I followed the recipe exactly!

Super yummy! Next time I will double the pumpkin pie spice. I used food color to dye the filling four different colors and made it a "tie-dye" pumpkin roll! so fun and the kids loved it!

Good, but not worth repeating. My potatoes didn't cook on low for 8 hours, had to turn the crock pot on high the next day. just okay.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Super yummy sugar cookies! The whole gang loved them! I too used butter instead of margarine and I put them in the fridge for about an hour. I did not have trouble with the dough being sticky or hard to handle. I rolled the cookies in a multi-colored sugar/ cinnamon mix to give them a snickerdoodle taste for the kids. For the adults, I ploppped the dough by the spoonful (didn't roll them into balls at all) and iced them with gingerbread flavored icing after the cooled. They turned out great both ways! They did seem to spread pretty thin after baking, but they were super tasty!!

Spanish Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
So yummy! The rice was excellent! It made great leftovers the next day- I shredded the leftover chicken and stirred it into the rice mixture. yummy! I did add a few dashes of cinnamon even though many reviews did not seem to care for it, and we all liked it! I used more like 2 teaspoons of chili powder too.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Big hit with adults and kids! Made the following changes, as suggested by many viewers: 1. let milk absorb bread crumbs before adding to mixture 2. added onion and garlic 3. added 1 tablespoon Worstershire sauce 4. used barbecue sauce on top 5. used shredded cheese 6. used two seperate pans People could not believe it was turkey, as opposed to beef. Very yummy, easy and quick to make.
