Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Better than any restaurant! I substituted olive oil for butter -- dipped the scallops in the oil, then rolled in the breading mixture -- then put in a "Pam sprayed" 9X13 pan, sprinkled the leftover breading mixture over all the scallops. I did broil them for a few minutes once they were done baking. These were PERFECT! Not at all mushy (I did follow other reviewers' suggestions and blotted the scallops dry first). We will definitely make this again!

This was perfect - far better than any restaurant!! Prepared exactly according to recipe - was best alfredo sauce we've ever had. Kids said it was even better than Olive Garden!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
This was my first attempt at "real" bread making -- followed recipe exactly and this was the best bread ever! My family ate it all before it had a chance to get cold. Good-bye bread machine!

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Very good recipe -- next time I'll add garlic to the cheese stuffing. Based on other reviews, I did double the sauce and it turned out great. Will definitely make this again!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
These didn't stick around long! They were awesome! The only substitution I made was sour cream in place of the plain yogurt (didn't have the yogurt, but had sour cream). Very moist, great flavor - definitely will be a family favorite.

Eggplant and Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This was very good, but was missing "something"... Not sure what, maybe adding green beans or something like basil or another spice. I'll make this again and do some tweaking (once I can figure out what I'd add!).

Soft Molasses Cookies V

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
These are the best molasses cookies ever! Definitely a family favorite. Very easy to make -- I did squish them down a little on the cookie sheet before cookie and sprinkled liberally with sugar. Awesome recipe!

Easy Corn Chowder I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Followed other reviewer's advice -- used cream of potato soup and added 1 cup frozen corn. I omitted bacon, cooked onions in olive oil. GREAT taste -- an instant family favorite! This is far, far better than any other corn chowder I've ever had -- will definitely make it frequently, especially over the long, cold Maine winter!

Amish Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
This is a great bread! Very easy to make and very tasty. I've made 6 or 7 loaves exactly following the recipe and not one loaf has had time to cool before it was completely eaten by my family. It is a hair bit sweet, but definitely not too sweet for our tastes. This will soon be our everyday bread.

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
Amazing! Great flavor, definitely will be a family favorite. Way too much of the coating mix left over, though -- cutting it in half would be more than sufficient.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Incredibly good! The two loaves didn't even have a chance to get cold. Very, very good banana flavor, moist -- best banana bread we've ever had. This will certainly be the banana bread of choice in my family.

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
I've made this bread more times than I can count in the past month -- it never lasts more than a day! Even my picky daughter loves the taste. This bread is our everyday bread. I double the amount of honey and use butter instead of vegetable oil -- we like it sweet!

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2005
Wow! If you like garlic, you'll love this chicken! For my family (or, at least for those who aren't as much as a garlic fan and me!), I'll cut the garlic in half next time. This is really great -- wonderful flavor.
