Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
Delicious with only 1 slight change, lowering the butter. Very easy. A nice change of pace.

Heather's Healthy Oatmeal Surprises

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
Made with only 2 revisions: omitted nutmeg b/c was out and used a whole bag of choc chips for pers preference. Also did add some fibersure and some flaxseed for the health aspect. For the last 10 cookies chopped up some dried cranberries and walnuts and added in too. Sooo delicious. Loved how the cookies were perfect. Not chewy or cakelike. Just perfect!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Very good. Followed others suggestions and used 1/2 cup of sugar. Used 1 tbs less of butter in the batter & added vanilla and extra cinnamon to the batter. My 5 year old & hubby loved them too!

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
First time making squash. Cut recipe in half. Omitted butter in middle, used extra crackers. Next time would recommend cheese then crackers on top (layer rather than mixing).

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Really moist. Took tip from another reviewer & rubbed salt & pepper on chicken & let it rest at room temp for 5 mins or so while preparing/getting the other ingredients ready. Seemed to settle in & tasted good.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
I left the bread out overnight. It was perfectly delicious. I put it all in the turkey. I'm going to try just baking it in a casserole dish next time. Make extra- it goes fast!!

Spinach and Orzo Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Good recipe. I shredded spinach in food processor & is much prettier-makes orzo appear green. Personally, you can use less than 1/2 the spinach & still tastes & looks the same w/o being so "soggy" or tough on your stomach.

Perfect. I didn't use the nuts personally, but I've made it almost a dozen times & everyone loves this.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Love it! Used other recommendations & split sauce in 1/2 -some on bottom & some on top. Also used garlic instead. Make sure to "drain" grease before serving. A family favorite!

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Great recipe. Waited for drippings to cool, then drained fat off & discarded. Used drippings on rice. Cut butter in half per other readers suggestions too. So easy. Didn't even marinade & still turned out great.

Hot Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Our family loves it. We've been making it for a year now. We make it with 1/2 the cheese in & 1/2 the cheese on top, or play around w/the ratio. You can get fancy with your cheese blends too. We no longer use the Parmesan. The flavor was too unusual for us. This even re-warms great in the microwave.

Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
Very thick, but delicious. Not garlicky enough for my taste, but I'm sure the garlic is meant to be subtle. Didn't see that it said to chop up the artichokes, but I did anyways- seemed to work out much better. A big hit for Christmas.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
Would add more cheddar cheese, otherwise great recipe. Make sure if you use the parmesan (can make with or without- your preference), use the fresh grated in the cheese isle, not the Kraft. Also per one reviewer, I added canned french fried onions to half of the casserole 5 minutes before was done- also delicious

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
Turned out great! Added the extra pumpkin pie spice & cinnamon per other readers suggestions, otherwise followed regular directions. I like the cake-like consistency personally. Was also surprised the frosting was plentiful. Personal choice to refrigerate before serving. Yum yum! Who needs pumpkin pie when you have this recipe!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
Very good. Would think most people are cooking the pork chops much longer & would recommend adding the apple juice to the mixture up front, otherwise -very good & delicious recipe!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2005
Great recipe. I left out the whipped topping from the cream cheese layer & added right before serving as a top layer. Also read the other tips first about using Pam and using the cream cheese layer as a barrier to keep the pretzels from being soggy. Also used frozen whole strawberries but pulsed through the food processor a bit first. That way no big bites of strawberry. Very yummy & a big hit for Fathers Day-we made 2 batches one for each side of the family.
