This cake was good, but a little too much for me. I actually would've only rated it three stars, but my mother-in-law raved about it to all our co-workers so I upped it one. It has a dense brownie like texture that I was not expecting. I baked this in two round cake pans, cut them each in half and layered the cake with the sturdy whipped cream frosting recipe and topped it with raspberry sauce recipe (both from this sight). The raspberry sauce really did amazing things for this cake and I highly recommend it.
