Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
Perfect pie. I made exactly how the recipe is written and it is always the first pie to go at every function I bring it to.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
I tasted the meat before I added the bbq sauce and couldn't stop sampling it. Soooo good and tender. It shredded very easily. I used Sweet Baby Ray's and it turned out perfectly.

JELL-O Strawberry Mousse Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
One of my favorite childhood recipes that I craved and my mom had no idea what I was talking about. You really need to let it cool down with the ice before you add the whipped topping or it will separate. Several people have asked for this recipe.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
A really good oatmeal cookie. I left the raisins out because I don't like them. A bit crunchy around the edges and soft and chewy in the middle. Very good.

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This cookie is excellent! I didn't have high expectations for much of a minty flavor but the whole cookie tasted like mint despite only having mint in the frosting. A co-worker of mine and I agreed that it tasted like Christmas.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
The chicken was good, but nothing special. It tasted exactly like it sounds, a chicken roasted with salt and pepper.

Broccoli Cheese Soup IV

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
All I could taste was the cream cheese. Probably would be really good if you halved the cream cheese and added more broccoli. Easy and quick to make though.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Very good frosting! I was surprised to have any left for my cake after I was done "sampling" it. You can really taste the cream cheese, so if you don't like cream cheese this may not be for you. Went very well with chocolate cake and raspberry sauce!

Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
This was really delicious! I added quite a bit more sugar because my raspberries were really tart. I used this on a layered chocolate cake and it got rave reviews from the family. My mother-in-law said when the cake was gone she was just going to drink the rest of the raspberry sauce! I pureed my sauce but did not strain it and it turned out very nice.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
This cake was good, but a little too much for me. I actually would've only rated it three stars, but my mother-in-law raved about it to all our co-workers so I upped it one. It has a dense brownie like texture that I was not expecting. I baked this in two round cake pans, cut them each in half and layered the cake with the sturdy whipped cream frosting recipe and topped it with raspberry sauce recipe (both from this sight). The raspberry sauce really did amazing things for this cake and I highly recommend it.

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
This was the BEST ham I've ever eaten! My family ate it up faster than the turkey even though they're huge turkey fans. My ham was frozen and I put it in the turkey bag with a can of coke a few days before to thaw it out (in the fridge). I followed the rest of the directions exactly and couldn't have asked for better results. I will definately be using the recipe whenever I cook ham. Everyone in my family said this would be the only way they will cook ham also!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
This is the best artichoke dip I've ever had. I like to add extra garlic cloves and put extra cheeses on top before I bake it. I'm always asked for this recipe when I bring it to potlucks.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
I've made this dish several times now and its delicious as is, but I've tweaked it to my tastes. I accidentally pureed the onions in my ultimate chopper but it made it better! I added tomato paste to thicken the sauce and cook everything with at least five cloves of fresh, minced garlic (I looove the garlic!). I also cut the chicken into bite size pieces and let everything simmer for 30 minutes to an hour (however long it takes for my fiance to come over) and serve over bowtie noodles with garlic crescent rolls on the side. Perfect!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
I cooked this for my boyfriend for something that was a little change of pace. I added a couple cloves of minced garlic and served it over pasta. We bothed loved this recipe and ate it for lunch the next day. It was even better! Will definately make again.
