Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
If I couldgive this recipe more stars I would!! My husband never wants turkey because he thinks that it is always dried out. So....when I saw this recipe with the brining method I thought why not give it a try. Well... all my company and my husband whole heartedly agreed that this was the moistest[is that a word] turkey they had ever had and with the most flavour. I will never change turkey recipes. I did stuff this with the stuffing recipe from classic stuffed turkey. It was just the final touch to this great turkey dinner!! Thank you thank you!! ps- after making this turkey now too many times to count, I can honestly say that all my friends and family are now using this recipe and agree that there is NO OTHER turkey recipe for them as well!

Olive and Chicken Curry Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
I must admit that I did change a few things but the basic recipe is great. I added porcini mushrooms and peas instead of the olives and also added some wine to the stock. These are simple and taste great thanks

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
I divided this recipe into 2 round cake pans and then made double icing (not adding as much icing sugar as called for) and made a layer cake!! It is so beautiful..who wants to eat it! yeah right!! I did as recomended by others and added nutmeg and did half brown and white sugars. I also grated fresh nutmeg on top as a garnish!

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
This was an absolutely show stopping salad and easy to make as well. I did not use the sugar and used an aged balsamic vinegar for the dressing. I would recommend this to everyone.

I didn't have any pear juice...next time I will try that. I love love loved this dish. I shaved the beef nice and thin and the marinade was wonderful. I served it with fried rice and it was a hit!

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread I

this bread has a nice heavy texture without being overly greasy. The only modification I made was omit the nuts and add chocolate chips ( a weakness what can I say) Will add this to my favs!!

Fried Rice with Cilantro

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
This was so simple and great tasting! Nice little bite from the chile. I didn't have any cilantro {wish I did} I added the fresh basil after I was finished cooking to keep the fresh flavour and also like some others mentioned...I had to add the egg!!

Coconut Tofu Keema

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
I really enjoyed the idea of a tasty vegetarian curry! The only thing that I changed was that I used curry paste since I love the flavour of it and I used diced tomatoes instead of the sauce. My husband took this to work for his lunch and one of the guys said that he hated tofu! So my husband gave him a taste and through this recipe he is a tofu convert!! Tofu doesn't have to be yucky!!

Greek Souzoukaklia

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
what a unique flavour! The only thing that I would make sure of for next time is to chop the onions fine! No big chunks. I formed my meat mixture into patties and did them on the foreman grill, did not add the sugar and also I didn't have raisins so I added chopped dates! I will definately make these again.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
these were a definate hit!! They are a little time consuming but well worth it. I served them with Amy's cilantro cream sauce [as many others have recommended] I also used fresh corn tortillas since I live in Mexico they are very easy to come by. The only thing was that I found them hard to roll into the little package so instead I made taquito or cigar shapes. I did not deep fry but instead after the 4 hrs in the refrig I basted them with a bit of oil and baked them. Next time I will try the egg roll wrappers and try them in the oven as well! thanks

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

do not hesitate in making htis bread. It rises beautifully and turns out HUGE loaves. I added sunflower seeds and next time will cut back on the white flour and try with more whole wheat. I did cut back a bit on the honey but not too much. Great tasting loaf!
