Sun-Dried Tomato Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
I found this to be a really easy and great tasting recipe. I didn't have enough eggs so instead of the egg in the crust I used ricotta cheese strangely enough and it turned out great. I look forward to making it with the egg though next time!!

Gyoza

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
Yum yum!! I knew these would take a while to make so I decided to double the recipe. Maybe a bit much!! Anyway, I took the advice of some other reviews and added ginger, finely chopped the veg's and added sake! So good!! I did a mixture of pork and chicken and really liked this combo. Hard to resist these little bites!

Tiramisu II

absolutely delicious....could have doubled the recipe and it still would have been gone!! If you can manage to save some, the melding of the flavours would be great!

Creamy Broccoli With Mustard Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
I really enjoyed how easy this recipe really was. My husband is not a huge broccoli fan but since I love it, I though this would be a good way to get him to eat it..success!! I think I would add just a touch more mustard, I could taste it if I really focused on it but thought a bit more would be even better. carmelizing the onions gave a great flavour. I will difinatley make this again..great cool weather meal. After making this again....I do have to say the extra mustard was what was needed and a bit more spice... I wish more people would try this recipe!! It is awesome!!

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
I was a little sceptical of the ingredients in this recipe but thought I would give it a try and I am so glad I did! I also cut back on the sauce like most others. Very very tasty and quick! Now if that doesn't make for a perfect recipe nothing ever will!!

Chicken and Dumplings I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
I used some herbs to flavour the chicken stock with. Some fresh rosemary and a couple bay leaves which I then strained out when I took the chicken out. I wanted a stew not a soup so I ended up thickening this and it turned out really good. I also used a different dumpling recipe since I was worried the dumplings would be tough because of what the other reviewers said. But the flavour was excellent and I would use this recipe as a base again.

Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
These were really easy to make and held up really well in the chicken stew that I added them to. I ommitted the sugar and was glad I did. It just isn't necessary in my opinion. Thanks they were great!

Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
I thought these were wonderful!! I used ground chicken and pork mixture. I didn't have crab so eliminated that. I also added ginger, some cabbage and a bit of water chestnuts for a crunch. I used spring roll wrappers and egg rolls wrappers. They both worked great.

Botercake (Butter Cake)

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
this is definately a butter cake!! It is so rich but oh so good!! Absolutely beautiful colour and texture. The slight lemon flavour enhances it even more. I will make this cake again but not until I lose the pounds put on by this one!!

Red Snapper Livornese

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2006
I found this to be a very simple recipe with excellent flavour. I used left over fresh salsa from the night before and added the capers and olives to that and cooked it for the 10 minutes. I found there to be enough sauce to keep the fish very moist during the cooking. thanks!! I will make this again.

Tom Yum Koong Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
My husband and I just went to Thailand and I have to say that even without the sounds of Bangkok around me this soup took me back there!! It was absolutely splendid!! I don't think any 2 Tom Yum's are the same since I had it at a few different restaurants and each varied a little but if I can make such a good one in my own kitchen life is great!!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
this is so easy and so good. I did the marinating the day before and when I was ready to cook the next day, threw it on the grill. Just be careful you don't dry out the pork and everything will be great. excellent flavour

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
This was really good. I used fresh herbs [obviously] a bit more and just infused the o.oil with them. I also had some time so I made my own tomato sauce. I would recommend that to anyone who has the TIME! Then cooked down the t. sauce so it wasn't too runny! I also cut the sugar down to a pinch, just used as a flavour enhancer. ENJOY!!

Best Hamburger Ever

I made these for a gathering of about 10 people and everyone raved about them!! Their size is HUGE! and so tasty and moist. Definately a keeper. And I agree about the omitting of the tasteless breadcrumbs. Great idea!!

Thai Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2006
I did not like these very much. I made them for a lge group and was a little embaressed by them. I found the burgers to really taste like the crumbs and also the texture of the crumbs and dry like the crumbs sigh....Other than that I liked the combo of the other ingred so I will try again?! but not on anyone but immediate family first!!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I think this risotto recipe is a great one to use as a jumping off point. It is very easy to make and from it you can incorporate all the ingreds that you have or like. Next time I make it I will leave out the mushrooms and add other veggies. Thanks I loved it!!

YUM!! For anyone who is trying to add fish to their healthy menu plans this is wonderful!! Fresh sea bass is so mild in flavour and has such a great texture and what can I say about the sauce...fabulous!! I added a sprig of fresh rosemary and it just added that fresh herb taste which I love. Enjoy!!

Lemon Ginger Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
yum yum and more yum!! the only thing that i would change about this recipe is depending on how strong your garlic is and how much you like the odour.. I would cut that to 1 clove. After the marinating the flavours are right in those prawns. Great left overs if you can keep from eating them all!!

Sweet Chili Thai Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2006
I really like this recipe except I agree the sugar is just WAY too much. I cut it in half and that was enough for my taste! Also, be careful of how you add the cornstarch to avoid lumps! Taste of dip is great...oh..add more cornstarch if you want a dip not a sauce.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
I only changed a couple things in this recipe like adding chopped spinach to the ricotta. I made the sauce a couple days before to let the flavours settle together and also made sure that there wasn't too much liquid in the sauce. The lasagna stayed together perfectly and my guests loved it!! Definately a keeper thanks
