Pot Stickers Traditional

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
the only changes I made was to double the recipe and I did not cook the pork first. I love these pockets of flavour!! I had no problem with sticking to the pan but what I did after frying them to golden on each side was put a couple tbsp of water in the pan and covered them to steam them a bit. thanks for the great recipe!!

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
the dough for these turned out really well. I enjoy I guess more untraditional fillings so I mixed and matched recipes. I will try this filling next time I make them!

Unbelievable Spinach Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
I loved this recipe except that I like a home made dough. So, I used one from another recipe..combined the 2 and am more than satisfied! These are so great because you can vary the filling to whatever you are craving! thanks

Deep Fried Camembert with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
I really enjoyed these except I am not sure about the sesame seeds. I am going to try without next time and see if I like it better. One thing that I would recommend is slicing the cheese and putting it in the freezer for a while. It makes so that that the cheese doesn't ooze out...if it is not gooey enough after frying, stick in the microwave a few seconds!

Bulgogi (Korean BBQ)

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
I didn't have any pear juice...next time I will try that. I love love loved this dish. I shaved the beef nice and thin and the marinade was wonderful. I served it with fried rice and it was a hit!

Fried Rice with Cilantro

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
This was so simple and great tasting! Nice little bite from the chile. I didn't have any cilantro {wish I did} I added the fresh basil after I was finished cooking to keep the fresh flavour and also like some others mentioned...I had to add the egg!!

The Ultimate Brownie

Don't get me wrong..the flavour of these is to die for but.... I had problems with the centre being too underdone and the outside being done! I like gooey but this was uncooked gooey!

Baked Sweet Potatoes with Ginger and Honey

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
I really loved the flavours of these sweet potatoes...for one thing they were not overly sweet! Not sure why but they did not carmelize for me?! I did parboil 1st to cut down on cooking time in the oven. While my turkey rested on the counter these cooked in the oven! I will make them again and see if I can get them to carmelize!!

Coconut Tofu Keema

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
I really enjoyed the idea of a tasty vegetarian curry! The only thing that I changed was that I used curry paste since I love the flavour of it and I used diced tomatoes instead of the sauce. My husband took this to work for his lunch and one of the guys said that he hated tofu! So my husband gave him a taste and through this recipe he is a tofu convert!! Tofu doesn't have to be yucky!!

Greek Souzoukaklia

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
what a unique flavour! The only thing that I would make sure of for next time is to chop the onions fine! No big chunks. I formed my meat mixture into patties and did them on the foreman grill, did not add the sugar and also I didn't have raisins so I added chopped dates! I will definately make these again.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
these were a definate hit!! They are a little time consuming but well worth it. I served them with Amy's cilantro cream sauce [as many others have recommended] I also used fresh corn tortillas since I live in Mexico they are very easy to come by. The only thing was that I found them hard to roll into the little package so instead I made taquito or cigar shapes. I did not deep fry but instead after the 4 hrs in the refrig I basted them with a bit of oil and baked them. Next time I will try the egg roll wrappers and try them in the oven as well! thanks

this is just WAY too good and easy as well. The only thing that I would change is add less salt. A bit too much for my taste

this recipe has really nice flavour. The only things I changed was that I didn't use ketchup but instead put in tomato sauce and I added mushroom soup instead of water. Great taste!!

Strange Flavor Eggplant Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
I didn't find this to have a strange taste at all! I liked it, it does seem to be missing something though..not sure what. Maybe the flavours need to meld a bit before serving.

African Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
I did alter the recipe a bit because of some of the other reviews. Here is what I did. I added some hot chili powder to spice it up, curry paste instead of powder, and I had cooked the rice in coconut milk so I added cream instead of the coconut milk to the chicken. I also used fresh tomatoes instead of canned. This was fabulous!! Just a bit of a kick. MMMM Can't wait to make this again.

Butter Tart Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
these are to die for. Do not omit the maple syrup it just gives that little bit more to these muffins. I, like many others, baked these at 350 for 18-20 min. Keep an eye on them they do brown quickly. I also used dried berry mix instead of raisins! YUM
