Italian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2005
Made this for my husband and I and it is certainly a keeper. I did brown the tenderloin first, removed it and made the sauce separately. Added the tenderloin at the end and allowed it to heat thru. Pork remained juicy and tender amd it certainly is a perfect company dish. Served it with coucous cooked in orange juice. Thanks.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
With the combination of sour cream and buttermilk plus cake flour this is definitely in the cake category - and very good too. No reason it can't be baked in layer pans with icing.

Fresh Peach Dessert

What a lovely light dessert and the possibilities are endless. Fresh fruit so much better than the pie fillings we used to use. Thanks.

Banana Prune Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
I don't make many banana muffins but this recipe is very, very good - most we haven't cared for. Again, it is not fair to rate a recipe that has been drastically changed.

Wonderful simple and healthy spinach recipe. Only change is to add some fresh garlic because we love garlic. Thanks for a nice addition to my files.

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

love this chicken - anything with salsa to me is great. I did make one change and added 1 tsp. of lime juice to the salsa topping. Thanks for a great and easy recipe.

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This makes a wonderful pound-type cake (now quite a traditional pound). Love the texture and the end result. Complaints about not enough flavor so suggest you use only pure vanilla becuase it does make a difference.

Greek-Style Baked Salmon

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
Thanks for a lovely take on salmon. Have used this recipe for halibut and haddock but it is just as great with salmon. Thanks for adding another recipe for salmon to my files.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
I agree with many other reviewers that this is a lovely way to serve salmon and almost failproof if the recipe is followed as written. Have been making this for many years with never a complaint from family or guests. Highly recommended.

Easy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
very easy and juicy. Have never tried Ranch dressing but will. Also, cornflakes seem to be the best coating and are available at most bulk barns so you don't have to purchase a large box.

Tender Shortbread

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
This is an excellent basic shortbread recipe (and I have been making shortbread for many, many yrs.). A suggestion might be to chill slightly before trying to roll it. Another suggestion is to substitute 1/4 cup of rice flour or cornstarch for the all purpose flour. Enjoy

Fresh Apple Cake II

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
Love this simple apple cake. As written it is very, very good but because of our taste buds I subsitute half melted unsalted butter for some of the oil. Thanks for a great contribution and it also keep very, very well - but does not usually last too long!!!!

Best Brownies

This is one of the easiest and most reliable bownie recipes on this site. Always very moist so if someone finds them cake like they are not following the instructions. Thanks for a great addition to my brownie file. Simplicity itself.

Double Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I do not care for a dark chocolate cake so this was great. Also, one of the best one bowl cakes I have found - most of them use shortening. Another plus for this cake is that it does not use too much baking soda. Please, please have all your ingredients at room temperature otherwise you will have lumps of butter and chocolate. I do empathize with newer bakers because they probably did not realize that this is an absolute necessity (especially for one bowl cakes). This cake does work!!!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
excellent recipe and very versatile. A lot of pound cakes do not have any baking powder and I prefer this one with a little. Definitely use butter (absolutely no substitutes) and beat well and noone should have a problem. Thanks for a great submission.

Classic Cherries Jubilee

This is one of our favorite recipes for entertaining. Nearly always use the cherry juice rather than water and sometimes, when out of brandy, have subtituted a Portuguese almond liqueur. Whichever way it is always a hit.

This is a wonderful recipe and so easy - just what we like. Have substituted fresh haddock (less expensive) for halibut with good results. Do not try frozen fish.

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
Must be one of the few that has not rewrote this recipe (I will not rate a recipe unless I make it as submitted). We happen to like cake line Brownies and, also, these are very good for bake sale purposes because they hold their shape and cut easily. Thanks for submitting
