I thought this recipe was not bad as a base recipe. By no means would I just make it as is since it would be way too bland and too thick. However, I decided to spruce it up by adding a cup of red wine, a cup of rice milk, rice sour cream (I'm lactose intolerant), a teaspoon of paprika, and some dried parsley to the sauce. When I was browning the meat, I added some fresh garlic and onions. Also, I hate mushrooms, so I used cream of onion soup. This was my first time making a beef stroganoff and I thought it went pretty well. I will make this again with the adjustments I mentioned.
