Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Excellent!!! I followed the recipe almost exactly, I only added a little cinnamon to the batter. We love cinnamon. I may try some vanilla next time, but it is fine with out. This is excellent! Maybe I'll try it with applesauce next time instead of the butter for lower fat muffin.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
This is the only cornbread recipe I use. The only change I made was to reduce the sugar to 1/2 a cup. I also use this recipe whenever another recipe calls for cornbread mix. I love it!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
This is a great recipe! I love it as macaroni salad, but it also makes an excellent chicken salad spread. I use red wine vinegar rather than the white vinegar and don't usually add the celery seed if I have celery stalks. :D

Bloody Mary Deluxe

I was quite surprised at how good this tasted! My husband omitted the horseradish and the "garnishes" but it was great! I'm not a big fan of most drinks, but I actually liked this. :D

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
As others have said, this is a great base recipe. I had a great coffee cake once that was very simple to make and have never been able to recreate it until this recipe. I followed the recipe for the most part, but did the following changes: I added 1 c of Sour milk (1tbsp lemon juice and enough milk to make 1c) 1tsp cinnamon, 1/2c white sugar, 1/4c brown sugar, and 1tsp vanilla to the batter. I also doubled the cinnamon in the topping. It was great! I will be making this again.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
Great starting point! :) I made mine starting with this recipe, but made a few changes. I used 1 can of cream of celery & 1can cream of mushroom instead of the 2 cream of mushroom. I also added 1/2 a container of pimentos, 1 can evaporated milk, mixed veggies, and I didn't have any potato chips, so I did 2tbsp of butter w/ 3/4 c italian bread crumbs. I also didn't have any egg noodles so I used roughly 2 c (dry) elbow macaroni (cooked). :) It was great! :)

No Bake Camping Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2005
This is an EXCELLENT recipe! I made the first batch exactly as the recipe says, and they are great! The second batch, I added extra coffee (stronger too), and some coconut. I also rolled them in coconut. They were difficult to roll, but being June and in Arizona, everything melts.
