Fruity Sweet and Sour Sauce

I love this!! I needed a sweet & sour sauce for homemade crab rangoon, and this was perfect. As suggested, I tweeked the amounts of marachino juice and vinegar until it suited my family. I will never pay for 'extra' sweet and sour sauce at a restaurant so I have some at home again, and I haven't found one in the stores at all that tstes good. I was surprised to find marachino cherry juice by the bottle, look for it in the drink mixers aisle. THANK YOU!!

Marinated Salad

I have been looking for this recipe or one similar since my mother-n-law died. She made this from memory so it wasn't in her recipe stash. The only difference is she used apple cider vinegar.

Banana Oat Muffins

I didn't have any rolled oats, so I used instant cinnamon roll flavored oatmeal and I used Splenda instead of sugar. My family loved them....as you can see they started eating them as soon as they came out of the oven.

Soda Cracker Cookies

These are inexpensive, easy and so good. Everything you need should already be in your pantry. I did mine in three sections, one with just the chocolate chips, another with dried fruit and nut mix andthe third section I topped with coconut.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

My family loved this recipe, however, I added garlic powder to the sauce, as well as the salt and pepper. Also, after I put the first layer of potatoes and onion in, I poured half the sauce over it; the othe half went on top. After 1:20 cooking, I removed foil and sprinkled more shredded cheese on top and let it brown for 30 min.
