Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
I loved this sandwich. I used Texas Pete's buffalo wing sauce. It was spicy but oh so yummy. I made it exactly with the exception of using Country Crock light instead of butter. Also used the kaiser rolls. Made Adrienne's cucumber salad to go with. Perfect combination.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
Loved the recipe. I made two batches. The first one exactly like the recipe and the meatballs were very moist and flavorful. The second batch I made for my kids and omitted the red pepper flakes, hot sauce and onions and they loved them. Thanks for the great recipe.

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
This was a really good and easy recipe. I followed it exactly except I cooked for about 8 hours on low in the crock pot. I made 2 in one large, oval crock pot and and 1 more in a smaller round crock pot. Used Budweiser. It's a keeper.

Country Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
I thought these were really good. I used my food processor to slice up the potatoes so they were nice and thin. I make exactly except I used the cheddar cheese soup instead. I did cook covered an additional 15 minutes as the potatoes needed it.

Loose Meat on a Bun, Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
My kids really don't like sloppy joes because of the sweetness I guess. I decided to try these. They were really tasty - very flavorful. I made them exact except I added a 1/2 tsp garlic powder. I didn't think I had in canned beef broth so I had beef granules and made broth with that. I cooked in my electric skillet which evaporate the liquid with 20 minutes of cooking time left. I was going to make up up some more beef granules broth when I discovered two cans of beef broth in the pantry. I added one can to the mixture and continued to cook for the remaining 20 minutes. This is keeper. Oh, and I scaled the recipe for 9 servings and served it on wheat, kaiser rolls.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
My kids had a snow day today so I wanted to make them a good breakfast. My husband makes great bacon in the frying pan but I don't have the best of luck with that method. Tried this way and the bacon came out perfect. The kids and gobbled it up! Thanks!

Beef Tips

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
I made this exactly. This was super yummy and talk about easy! Lots of flavor. I would cut back on the pepper next time. I also had to add a cup of water about 1 hour after cooking as most of the liquid had cooked down. I cooked it for 1 1/2 hours and it was nice and tender. I also added a package of fresh mushrooms. Made it in my electric skillet. Served over egg noodles. This is a keeper. Will try it with rice next time.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Wowza, this was a tasty recipe. My whole family enjoyed it. I used Northern beans and no Cayenne. It was more like a soup than a chili. You could thicken it up but we liked it just fine. It was super easy to make too. Will make this again. Served with cornbread.

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I really liked the flavor of these enchiladas. My whold family enjoyed them. I used a whole rotisserie chicken shredded up and green chili verde sauce. My family prefers it with chicken to the red. The only thing I would change which was my choice, I warmed the shells in the microwave to save time rather than softening them in oil. They fell apart when we served them. This is a keeper.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
In my desperate search for something to make for dinner I came across this recipe before I left for work. I am giving it five stars for ease of preperation and being super kid friendly. Every one liked it. It made a lot though. I would say the only drawback is that that it was a little pricey for a casserole. Thanks for the great weeknight meal! It was a lifesaver!
