Red Skinned Potato Salad

The recipe was wonderful the first day, after that the bacon became really soggy and it just started to taste old. Great for a party though.

Easy Salmon

This recipe is the bomb! I have made this several times and it is so quick and easy. I make a cheesy artichoke dish to go along side it and my boyfriend thinks I'm the best chef in the world! Thanks!

Strawberry Muffins

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

I'm not usually a fan of vegetable or beef soup, but this is the best I have ever had. The only thing I changed is that I simmer the soup for an hour instead of 10-20 minutes to better combine all the flavors.

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

This recipe gets rave reviews everytime I make it. The only thing I do differently is add zucchini, yellow squash and broccoli to the mix so it is a true vegetable lasagna.

Fried Cabbage II

I have been making this dish for years and it is the best quick supper ever. My boyfriend and I have been on a low carb diet for some time now and I love that this dish fits right into our diet with no problem. Also works great as a side dish too!

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

This dish is to die for. I never make pasta with any other sauce after trying this recipe. My boyfriend loves it too and it is the best simple and "ta da" recipe for dinner parties. Serve it with french bread or garlic toast for dipping in the wonderful sauce.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

This dish was way too watery. I cooked it for 8 hours and ended up with Jambalaya soup. I had to add four cups of instant rice before it even resembled Jambalaya. And the flavor was way too spicy. I felt like my mouth was on fire while I was eating it. My boyfriend enjoyed it though, as he loves really spicy dishes. I will make it again, but I will obmit at least half the cayenne and cajun spices as well as the chicken broth so I don't end up with soup again.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Excellent, excellent, excellent. This is the first pie I have ever made and I was very suprised at how good it was. The filling was thick and delicious and didn't run out of the pie like my mom's always did. The only thing I changed is that I tossed the apples in the hot mixture and then poured into the crust rather than pouring the liquid over the top. I am making this again very soon!

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

This makes the most delicious dessert ever. I make it every year for thanksgiving and special occasions. It is time consuming, but oh so worth it!! I have never had to change a thing with the recipe, it comes out perfect everytime.

Eggplant -- Easy, Good and Tasty

This was a very easy recipe but it is definitely missing something. I made it as a side dish and was very disappointed as to how bland it was. Eggplant is very bland as it is and to just add breadcrumbs, tomotoes and cheese did nothing to give it any more flavor. I will probably make it again but will add some italian spices and slice the eggplant very thin so the flavors can all come thru.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

I loved the idea of this soup, but I changed a lot of things before I found it to be the perfect chicken noodle soup. I pre cooked the chicken in a skillet with a little water and set it aside to start off. Then I sauteed carrots, celery and onions in a dutch oven before adding the broth and other seasonings. I brought it to a boil and then let it simmer for 30 minutes so all the flavors blended. I then added the chicken and allowed it to simmer another 15 minutes. I added the raw noodles directly to the soup instead of cooking them separate and they were cooked in under 10 minutes. I tried using the cornstarch the first time and it made it way too thick to be a soup, not to mention very starchy, so I omitted it completely the next time and really felt like I was eating a really good homemade chicken noodle soup from back in the day.

Rosemary Braised Lamb Shanks

My boyfriend wanted lamb for easter and I had no clue as to how to make it. Luckily I found this recipe and received rave reviews from him all evening. I added fresh mushrooms to the recipe and I only used half the liquid that the recipe called for like other reviewers had suggested. There was still way too much, but I added some cornstarch and it thickened nicely. Next time, I will add even less liquid, but awesome awesome recipe!!!!

Key Lime Pie - Low Carb Version

I thought it was just ok. The flavor was decent, but the lime flavor overpowered the coconut extract so I couldn't tell at all that I had put coconut flavoring in it. The pie was also very very dense like cheesecake. It did not have the consistency of actual key lime pie, which was what I was hoping for. Not horrible, but I don't think I'll ever make it again.

Calico Squash Casserole

I have to say it was good. I loved the crunch of the buttery crackers and the creamy consistency of the dish. I didn't have water chestnuts, pimento's or carrots, so I just left them out. I did add chopped green olives to replace the pimento's and it added extra zing. . .but I think I will leave those out as well when I try this again. For those who are worried about the fat in this recipe, I used reduced fat club crackers, low fat mayo and reduced fat cream of mushroom soup and couldn't tell the difference in the finished dish.

Lemon and Thyme Lamb Chops

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I could not taste the marinate at all. I halved the ingredients, cut slits into my lamb chops and let them soak in the fridge for over an hour, but the marinade gave absolutely no flavor. I couldn't tell I had marinaded them at all. Very disappointing.

FANTASTIC!! Absolutely Fantastic!! I made this recipe as a gift for my boyfriends grandma and Aunt and they requested the recipe right away. The only thing I changed is I added two cups of mashed banana instead of one.
