About this Cook
I'm 20 years old, and I absolutely love to cook. I'm always watching the food network, and reading new cookbooks to come up with new things that I can experiment with.
My favorite things to cook
I love making desserts. Cheesecakes are great! I'm always making some kind of cookie. And spicy foods are another favorite of mine. The spicier the better.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad makes the best chicken enchiladas that I've ever had. I'm currently mastering them. My grandma made a lot of "soul food"... Fried chicken, fried okra, cornbread, etc. I miss her cooking a lot.
My cooking triumphs
The chocolate, coconut, banana cream pie I made for my dad this past weekend... He said that it was the best pie he'd ever had! And I make a great veggie chili, my mom says it's my trademark!
My cooking tragedies
A mocha cake I attempted to make a good 5 years ago for my mom's b-day. It was my first try at making a cake from scratch. The recipe was off, it didn't rise at all, and it was horrible. The dog wouldn't even eat it, and he ate everything. I was so disappointed.
