Whole Wheat Beer Bread

This bread is very good, but I made a few modifications. The first time that I made it, I followed the directions exactly, and it was so salty and with a bad taste that we couldn't eat it. The second time, I cut the baking powder down to 1 1/2 tsp. and the salt down to 1/2 tsp., and it was great! I have also substituted sprite for the beer, and it comes out great!

Chocolate Sausage (Salame di Cioccolato)

I thought this recipe was very good. I was trying to duplicate something that I had found in Europe, and this came very close. A few changes: I wasn't sure how much 5 oz of cookies was, so I used about 2 c. crumbled (finger sandwich butter cookies from this site). Also, decrease the cocoa by 1-2 T. You really do have to beat the egg/sugar mixture for 10-15 min. Lastly, roll the whole log in sugar to coat before freezing. Yum!
