Jay's Jerk Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
Not exactly what I would call "jerk", but very tasty anyway. Very important to let it marinade for a good long time. We were in a hurry the first time we made this and it wasn't nearly as good as when we let the marinade sit.

Mexicana Shrimp and Vegetable Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
Excellent! Not at all hot, but very flavourful and tasty. I also put beef and eggplant on the skewers, and they turned out great.

New York Cheesecake II

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
Great cheesecake. Very creamy, and not to sweet. I did find that the top did get a little burnt, but the taste was not affected at all.

Chocolate Cherry Biscotti

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
The best biscotti I've ever had. I don't normally like biscotti, and I'm not a big fan of candied cherries, but I had find a way to use them up, and this was perfect. I found they took a little longer to crisp up than suggested, and I drizzled them with dark chocolate instead of white.

Shrimp Fried Rice II

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
Excellent! This was so delicious, I almost ate the whole thing by myself. I followed the recipe exactly, except I replaced the bean sprouts with green peppers. I also made a well to cook the eggs, and it worked perfectly. I will definitely make this again.

Empire Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
The first time I made these cookies, they took me over 3 hours to assemble, but they were well worth the effort! And the next time I made them, I got a good system going and it took far less time. Everyone enjoyed them and they look very festive. A great holiday cookie.

Rhubarb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2005
This was my first baked cheesecake, and the cheesecake part turned out wonderfully. The crust however, was awful; it was soggy and bland. If I make this recipe again, I will definitely use a graham cracker or digestive cookie bottom instead.
